There's a documentary on A&E about obesity. The documentary takes you through the lives of typically two people that are extremely obesed as they workout with their trainers.

How many have seen the documentary and what's your opinion?

Looks to me the trainers and dieticians are all doing the right things, it's up to the people to follow through and make the necessary life-style changes, unlike the biggest loser show there is no competition or cash prize, they have to do it for the sake of being healthy. I find it interesting to watch.

the show is pretty amazing-i only watched it once but in a way it motivated me and gave me a positive feeling

I think it is a really good show. It's much better than Biggest Loser which seems more like a game show. Plus, the trainers do seem they motivating.

Great show, I was actually going to start a thread and ask who's seen it LOL! The trainers are in great shape, the gentleman has good muscle structure, not like Bob on BL. But, like others have said, these people do it to save their lives, not to win a prize. Their prize is life.

That is one problem with society, people only seem to want to do something if the get something in return (prize). The one last night was awesome. The one lady lost 110 lbs and looked amazing, and the younger girl at 91lbs and her lifestyle change. Really great show!

Just started watching it as well. Bottom line is TV is just that, TV, so we don't know how legit anything is anymore. HOWEVER, I think this show is much more creditable than BL. I really like the training style and personalities of the trainers on Heavy. Yelling and screaming like Jullian does on BL is bullshit.
Losing 100 + pounds isn't an easy task...big props to these people.

The guy won the open capital of Texas heavyweights this year. I was in the novice division. Super nice guy. He will compeate in nationals this year

It was a good show...it really dives into how obese people are that way for a reason...they don't have the strong mental fortitude/competitive drive to push themselves day in & day out as many of Us do

There's also a new show in MTV called "I used to be fat" its pretty cool. Its about kids losing weight the summer before college. Most drop like 100lbs too.
