Ok Ive been really enjoying myself with food and chcocolates and I just cant seem to be getting enough, Im always hungry and am always craving. I said to myself that I will enjoy myself a bit until may and then clean it up get ready for the summer but damm food is tasting so good after the contest, Im feeling like a greedy pig! Does anyone else get like this after a competition? Stupid question, I know but how do you guys deal with it?
 
I got like that after my first 2 contests but for my last contest I decided to fill my face after the show but with clean food, it will fill you up just the same but will add quality mass instead of fat and you will feel a lot better for it.
 
you will slowly get tired of eating shit. make sure you continue some cardio at least. pre contest is so regimated cause you had a plan and a goal, and now you dont have one. so you need to get one, even if its just looking good for summer.
 
Thanks bro, I need to get it together and go for another plan. I think cardio would help me feel guilty and maybe motivate me to clean up my diet:)
 
I'm in the same boath bro, after been on controlled diet bulk and cutting for almost 9 months now. I also almost seem alergic to everything except diet food. I get high blood pressure just by eating a single soft-ice lol.

I've decided to keep eating more freely until 1. of June. Only thing I keep doing is down 400g protein everyday. And train and do cardio as before contest. I think by end of May I will look forward to eat clean again. Anyway jumping up the cals and eat lot of protein after a show should pack on some quality mass rather fast.


By the way how did your contest go?
 
I did this after my first show and felt miserable. The worst part was I kept telling myself I was going to clean up my diet. I ended up with cystic acne from all the chocolate and crap food and didn't clean it up until around 9 months later.

Seriously, clean it up now and get back on some cardio. The longer you wait the harder it will be and you'll keep fooling yourself that your gonna start come Monday morning. Monday will come and go and you'll promise yourself the next Monday, etc. Get my drift.
 
Why not brew up a huge shake..of about 200+ protein,few tablespoons pb..or olive oil..add some nana's in there and sip on that all day..rest of ur day eat ur crappy food..:)
 
Think of this phase as a chance to pack on some more quality mass. The contest prep is the best anabolic primer bar none. When you up your calories, the body fills up muscles with glycogen like crazy, and you are anabolic like never before. So after a contest, i just load up on test, slin and GH and use that chance to grow! Fuck counting calories, you've earned it. Just eat.
 
this is called the rebound effect, you can do 1 of 2 things here,
1 eat like shit and not train much at all
2 eat a lot of good quality food, and train moderatly

after a contest like said befor your body is screaming for calories, it wants to grow! its tired of starving.... take advantage of it man, make some good quality gains for a bout 2 months and then back off and let yourself rest up... your body is wanting to supercompensate right now with new muscle...

many pro's our current mr o. included will tell you that they make some of their better gains right after a show.....
 
Wow I got some mixed opinions! And all of them sound great which has left me a bit confused:rolleyes: Its true summertime is comming but Im not bothered about brining my abbs out again for the beach, Im more interested in brining them out for competions now I got the bug for it:) but however I dont want to get too much bf or I will suffer when dieting down. And I also want to grow so these calories would do me the some good.

I guess eating clean for 6 days but quite high in clean carbs and protein and eating what I fancy on Sundays would do me some good along with moderate cardio. I need to set up a plan, so I wont have to go with Big A's contest diet again in the future. Im sure when the time comes I probably will do it if I have to do though. Does that sound good or anybody have a better idea?
 
Also, I would like to point out that Im off the T3 now so I guess until my Thyroid go's back to normal my metabolism will slow down, which would that be a good time for bulking or should I be extra carefull and eat very clean.

dude after my second show last year i couldnt get enuff OF ANYTHING either!!! I would Eat my 5-6 Quality meals per day AND everything else. I would almost every night go home after workin 12hrs(im a pt) and eat a huge protein and vege dinner then Eat a Whole Chocolate cake a 1/2 gallon of ice cream. i went from 198lb to 230lb in a couple weeks.
All well and good you all may say, but strange thing was it felt almost like i COULDN'T control it. i joked about it for a couple weeks to my co worker ( a three time miss world/universe) she sais chill out, but the only thing that stopped me was deciding to move to london and a new pt job there, i then started t3 clen etc. the fact that i was usin those drugs helped me snap outta it!

i shoulda known somethin was wrong when after the night show, i thought i wanted beer, but all i wanted was dairy(which i seldom eat) i had 6 thickshakes before leaving the building lol
 
I know exactly how you feel, lol! Ive put on so much size after the competition and its only been 2 weeks. People are thinking that Im on a bulking cycle but Im not on anything, mind you I know most of its water and I feel super strong, as strong as I felt when I took Anapolon and test a while ago.

Anyway my bench has increased and Im training hard on squats, and I will be starting cardio to clean things up a bit. It really has been fun the last two weeks and now I really apreatciate the small things in life after the diet like..... er well famous amous cookies and even cheese and stuff.

The time has come to clean it up, but Im on a mission to grow so I will eat some clean carbs but damm steak and chips have never tasted so good:)

I did like that last winter for 12 weeks bulk, followed a medium diet of about 3200kcal, and ate what ever I wanted every Saturday. Almost every Saaturday I was so hungry I'm sure I ate like 10k kcals. And very static I maintained my weigh through the week, and after every Saturday up about 3kg held water right away, then on Monday I was down 2kg and left with 1 kilo.

Put on a total of 15kg from this, which 3kg was lean bodymass. 3kg lbm in twelve weeks is pretty descent though. BF was like 15% after those twelve weeks.


I would rather do two eatout meals every week, instead of a whole day. Then you probably won't get much bloathed, and you can have those meals when the crawings is at it worst, you don't have to wait to Saturday. I ended up getting so excited for Saturday I made list of all the shit I was going to eat and bought in lots of stuff on Fridays, and had a major fiest the whole day lol
 
Yeah thats the problem when you eat strict and you blow it in one day you hold so much water. I actually gained 12kg's in 3 days after my contest. I went staight to mac d's the next day and couple hours after I went to pizza hut, basicly I stuffed my face and it felt good. The next day I was swollen everywhere and my friend who is a Dr gave my diuretics and I dropped another 6kg's but buy then I was looking far too smooth and was in serious pain from the diuretics. He told me to take it 2 days a week on non workout days, it got rid of the swelling and now I feel better and Im much stronger than before but I need to clean it up starting from tomorow. Cant go on like this forever.

Its amazing how stuid people who dont know anything about bodybuilding tell me that I gotten fat in a short space of time. I try to explain to them about water retention and fiiling up empty glycogen stores and they look at me like Im an idiot:rolleyes:

Thats funny. Just whats happend to me too. Up 13kg in 3 days, I couldn't take the pain from the high BP, and I felt so freakin unhealthy so I went to the doctor also, and got diuretics. I didn't drop weight from the pills strange enough.I have to pay for my stupidity now. I'm clearing up from today before I destroy my psyche. There's nothing good with water rentation. Pump you can get from other things. And I've proven for myself several times that I get stronger without the bloath. Last time when I went from bulk to cutting, I noticed a strenght jump in all excersises the first week along with a 3kg water drop. You have to drop the carbs for a while to compensate for all the bing eating. I think the longer you let the bloth stay the harder it will be to get to get rid of it, it feels like if you let it stay the water slowly turns into fat.
 
Yeah I heard about the water switching to fat as well. Well physiclay its impossible for water to turn to fat but Im sure after eating all that shit fat starts to replace water. Wow we in the same boat bro, well at least we know what gota do.
