Help for My Wife

My wife has been battling migraines for 5 yrs (visual field loss and all) and almost everyday. I did some research and found her issues seemed to be related to her desending ocspital (sp) nerves. So, I convinced a Dr to implant a stimulator into these nerves at the base of her scull. It has worked great for those issues, but she is still dealing with headachs from her period. We have tried birh control but these increased the frquency of headachs. It is usally her rt side ovary that causes the problem.

My question is could low dose anti e help her because it seems to be the first two weeks before she starts the flow meaning the large flux in hormones.

Has anybody tried this? Or what about hcg to fool her body into pregancy? Any ideas would be great. She is 39 yrs old and her periods are getting pretty strange.

I would check with a gyno or endo. Don't play doctor with your wife's hormones. You might make it worse. Better safe then sorry.

I know what you mean but they are the geniuses that will only suggest birth control.

I am the one that had to do the research for her implant as well. If I did not use my own brain she would still be on the couch, so I am taking matters into my hands again.

I also believe we need to be proactive with our health and research all options that our Doctor's might not.

Check her blood pressure see if is spiking at onset. high dose Magnesium supplement may help. Or topamax.
