Recently, the last 5-6 months I have started snoring really loud. It's been waking my wife up at night. She tries to get me to stop but I just keep sawing away. I heard from a doctor who says taking an antihistamine before bed helps but so far no luck. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm on my side or back, I still snore. I'm getting good sleep so I don't think it's a sleep apnea thing, just really annoying. Any ideas?

Higher doses of test, huh? Are you saying I'm doing AAS? Just kidding. That's interesting you say that. I'm using some gear that I think is underdosed so I bumped up the dosage and added deca, oh and some a-bombs. Anyone else have this issue with high test dosages? I'd be interested to hear the connection/research if any is out there.

I am the same way bro. Snorking is killing my wife and i cant take a nap during the day or i will wake myself up. I have had a few friends that had the surgery and i am contimplating it myself.

What kind of surgery kscowboy?

I have the same problem myself. If my wife ever leave me, it will be becasue of my snoring

I took my own advice and googled "high test and snoring". Turns out there is a direct link between the two. In some people, snoring and sleep apnea can be a sign of high t levels. Lots of interesting info. Now if I could find a way to stop snoring without getting off the sauce????
Thanks to mojo jojo for bringing this up.

Get a referall to a pulmonologist and get a sleep study done.If you have sleep apnea it is not just the snoring but can be life threatening.

Do a search and read the many threads on here about sleep apnea.I wear a CPAP mask to bed every night as do many others on here.

And all joke aside Testosterone is contraindicated in those with sleep apnea.

I have same problem. My wife kicks me at least 3 nights a week out of the bed.
I tried lots of things and nothing helped.

I don't snore all the time fortunately because the wife whacks me pretty good. Some nights I think she hits me even though I am not snoring just because she can't sleep, or maybe she's thinking about some remark I made earlier in the day.
Either way some nights I take a lot of cheap shots. I admit I love her for :D it...

There 2 small flaps inside your nose that cause snoring. They relax and that is what causes you to snore. Surgery can be done. I did the sleep deal and the mask bla bla. (not on gear either) Did not work for me. I trained myself to sleep on my side which seemed to help but if you lay on your back you WILL snore. stress, overweight, seem the to be the biggest culprit.

Just curious why this was moved to beginner forum???? PM me if necessary.

Thanks mods

Chip-They had their sinus cavities "Roto Rootered" out and their adnoids removed. Non of them snore now. They say its painful but worth it.

NOPE!!! This is your own personal theory and not a factual or educated reply.

The uvula and soft palate are the two structures most often causing snoring and sleep apnea issues. In surgery they look for ways to widen the airway looking first at the uvula and pharynx. But will take out tonsils and other structures as well.

How in the hell did you "I did the sleep deal and the mask bla bla" and know if it was not effective? First you would be asleep and second you would need to be monitored by diagnostic equiptment measuring respiration,O2 levels and brain activity to measure effectiveness like a sleep study.

You stop breathing with sleep apnea while sleeping which requires CPAP for continuous O2.You can't "train yourself" to do anything to remedy this condition. If you had a mask I am guessing someone diagnosed you with sleep apnea.

I am glad you educated me and know all about medical conditions I am happy for you. I did the sleep study test twice, And 2 different readings each time! 1st one said I had sleep apnea the next one said no explain that! I can send you the reports so you can evaluate them if you want. I used the CPAP and it was horrible in my case hated it. Tried it for almost 1 year.

Doctor told me that you can have sugary done on the uvula to help with snoring issues. I am physically fit, not fat 11% bf, eat healthy, run 2 company's so being, stressed yes, and being overweight was not my problem.

I found that if I sleep on my side and my mouth does not go open like it does laying on your back I DO NOT SNORE and actually sleep better. This is my experience. Plus I had a mouth guard made as well.

One thing about the test is it is truly difficult to get a proper reading of all your functions when your completely out of you element, house, bed, pillow, light, noise, of course all the wires hanging off of you.

I have heard the mouth guard works well for snoring. It is true about the uvula. Your tongue goes back in your throat causing you to snore while on your back.

I have referred many patients to a pulmonolgist and yes I understand enough about most conditions to send patients on to the appropriate specialist.

Its not always the uvula So I wouldn't allow that doctor to schedule any surgeries until a definitive diagnose is determined.

As long as you sleep for about an hour a diagnoses can be made. They schedule a whole night but only need an hour of good sleep.

I think my girlfriend has high test, that would explain the snoring and her sex drive. Guess I will have to deal with the snoring! :D

my daughter had her adnoids removed and she snores form time to time.
