Help me pass the bar—Max cognition program

My entire career has been performance based…everything I did I was judged on a performance standard in an extremely high stress situation..don’t worry about having an edge..worry about calming down..we would pound beta-blockers and Benadryl before stuff just to calm down

i dont mean to be that guy..

but i can see lawyers becoming replaced by AI with speed and dispatch within the next few years..

bringing up all relevant case laws, precedents, etc.. in milliseconds

i could be wrong, but someone had to say it.

best of luck either way
Nah

I hold multiple advanced degrees and certifications - in all honesty you are approaching this wrong, this isn't what can I enhance to pass the bar - it is where is my time allocated in the most efficacious manner. Bodybuilding needs to take a back seat along with the absurd time constraints you are imposing upon yourself. Break the bar down into segments, have ChatGPT generate non stop practice tests, ensure you know the material.

You made it this far, you'll be fine if you just continue all the habits you have used that lead you to be so successful thus far.

HCG for cognition lol. Get some Adderall and call it a day. Have some, take more. It is the ultimate academic PED and I am sure you know this.
I had an Rx 15 or so years ago and I’d have to disagree. While it feels that way while on it, the sleep debt it causes creates a slippery slope. Sleep is underrated imo. Just my .02.

I agree with everyone’s encouragement and observation that you’ve made it to this point for a reason. You’ll be fine overall. Keep getting your sleep and everything. I don’t think, as previously stated, that there’s a magic bullet to this test you’re not already doing. Could adding something maybe help, sure. Nothings going to substitute a consistent study schedule. Is this something, speaking specifically about the BAR, that you know what’s going to be on it even before now and you’ve got 6 weeks to be ready or is it you get some type of study guide or something once you’re signed up and you are racing the clock to assimilate all the info? Just curious. Some fields are like that but I know minimal about the BAR process.

I can see it now…“Objection, Your Honor—AI is speculating. Also it hallucinates case law sometimes.”

Your study schedule is more important than your supplement schedule. I had to move back home to help take care of a sick MIL, and thus had to take the bar in a different state than I originally planned. Had to work at the firm from 6am - 2pm as an associate (I was already a registered patent agent so I could practice even without a state bar license), then took the bar prep class for 3 hours in the afternoon, then home to the wife and kids until the kids went to bed, then study from 8:30-12. Day in, day out.

The bar is not meant to fail anyone. The only people that fail are the ones that don't study. The subject matter is not technically difficult, it's just a large volume of information. Put together a structured study plan, and you'll absolutely succeed. Good luck!
Thank you friend
Re: ‘the bar isn’t meant to fail anyone’ the state in which I intend on practicing has the toughest bar, and they make money off of every taker. Pass rate is 50-60% I believe. I was shocked to hear that some people just wing it.

I just dumped Themis bc I didn’t feel like watching the videos (passive learning) would be as effective as taking reps (4k mbe’s, essay issue spotting, and outlining for memorization—active learning), thoughts?

Thanks again 🙏

I have a couple degrees and a PE. I cant stress this enough.

Just having the knowledge from school is never enough the way these tests are designed. You cant serve two masters thing applies here.

Practice tests ad nauseum until you nail them and even then keep trying to find new tests and new problems.

Make sure you study for whats actually on the bar exam and dont assume whats going to be on there.

You need to be able to do these problems fast too.

Good take, there’s no magic bullet, it’s just reps and consistency. You don’t know the exact exam ahead of time, but you know the subjects and patterns, so it’s basically a race to memorize rules and get sharp at issue spotting. Think less “learn new material” and more “execute under pressure on things you’ve already seen.”

Probably one of those tests with 2 correct answers and one is just MORE correct than the other. Good luck in all seriousness. You’re already planning ahead and ready to grind it out which builds some confidence when you think a percentage of your peers are winging it. They probably make up 30-40% of the ppl that fail it. I’d be curious what the pass rate is for people who legit study their asses off for 6+ weeks. Probably not 50%

There are two changes I've made recently for dramatically less "brain fog". I hate that phrase but most can identify with it so I use it. I don't know which is helping, or if it's both.

1. I doubled up on my injectable glutathione, so I'm at around 800mg per week.

2. On a whim I decided to pay a little extra to add a food sensitivity test to my last round of bloodwork. This is controversial; many will say it's bullshit. I don't know. But I had several sensitivities, some of them with a higher IgG score than others.

A couple of my highest sensitivities were casein and cacao. Casein didn't surprise me; I had observed that when I was eating a lot of Greek yogurt I would mentally be in a slight haze. Cacao is the one that surprised me, and I had been throwing a heaping tablespoon into my shakes in the morning (and wondering why I would have brain fog in the first half of the day that started to resolve later).

So, take it with a grain of salt. We can't say for sure that these food sensitivity tests are legitimate. But either way, it can definitely be worth experimenting and eliminating certain things from your diet and making observations.

Will research inj glutathione, scary on the casein since my final ‘meal’ is Greek yogurt 🫠

Every attorney I had spoken to when I was considering applying to law school tried to talk me out of it. They didn’t even ask me my grades, major, or school first. I took that as a sign 😂

It’s an over saturated field already. Good luck, OP! I genuinely hope for your success.

I admire this. Bar exam, dang i have done hair for 40 years. Not much education, but did just inherit a very large amount $ and will fully retire soon. I have had recent brain fog and what helped me considerable was 800mg of Alpha GPC like Stewie mentioned above. Improved my reading, and seriously when navigating twist and turns at higher speeds downhill mountain biking, and handling my handgun at the gun range. Its not just for studying lol.

When AI gets to the point where it can show up in a room take a test to pass a bar exam, pick and manipulate a jury to get the verdict it wants for it's clients, i might as well not leave my house. Only jobs in the trades will be worth having..... till robots take them over too

It’s not the knowledge part. It’s the human element in speech and persuasion tactics, as you pointed out. A rudimentary MLM could obtain the knowledge needed to pass the bar.

if you guys don't think AI could form persuasive arguments citing case law and precedents...

you are in for a real shock..

any halfwit paralegal could prompt a current AI program to form an argument in the style of Johnnie Cochran or Alan Dershowitz, plugging in the relevant factors of the case, citing all case law and precedents

and the machine would likely have an incredibly persuasive argument for prosecution or defense in under 2 minutes.

delivered in the voice of David Attenborough

and that's for the AI we have RIGHT NOW... just imagine a year or two from now... it's going to be like Moore's law on steroids

again, i dont mean to be that guy, but i would suggest looking into becoming a plumber/pipefitter/HVAC

We tend to overestimate the speed of tech advances. The context of ai replacing jobs is an interesting one though, I regularly ask ChatGPT how soon ai will replace various random occupations of all kinds. Much of the time it says ai will not completely replace the job but will be incorporated into it.

The reason you have professional licensure is so there is someone to sue.

You think the AI companies are going to put it in a EULA that they are liable when AI gaffes something? Not happening.

Now when robotics catches up with AI, there's a whole lot of trades that are in danger. The only thing they'll need is a master electrician or similar so theres someone with liability.

I work in engineering and AI is basically useless at this point to even help me accomplish mundane tasks.

right,

Basically, the other side of the coin of the point that im trying to make is, AI is going to make lawyers able to accomplish their work so much faster, the demand for lawyers is going to shrink, substantially.

they will be able to do 2-5x the work in the same amount of time, and will likely not be paid more (LOL).
