alright this is kinda more of yall i guess helpin me out to stay on track with training and keep my head up bc i feel im gettin in a slump and finding im gettin bored while im workin out...anyone else ever had this problem?....i started out with steady lifting around a year ago at 160lbs, im now 194 at 6ft tall.....i guess i jus wanna hear some stories of what size u were when u started and how long it took u to reach ur goal how hard was it and what r the main key things i should not let slip up and what do u do when u find urself gettin bored with things.....i have alot of drive and dedication so i dont see myself driftin off and not stayin on track but a little help to kinda get my ass back in the mood of wanting and waitin the whole day to get in the gym not the "bc i have to go work out mood" would be great!! thanks guys for the help....i know im one of the younger bros on here and have only been here for a few months but alot of ppl have taught me alot on this board and i dont go anywhere else for info now.....so again thanks guys for all the help:D
 
just some help

hey bro, here is what i do. take a week off and get out of town. have some fun and let loose. when i get back i pull out that old picture of me that i let noone see, you know the one before you started working out. i tell myself that all of the hard work i have put in can be gone in a few months, i never want to look like that again. then i reload my ipod with new songs and put all of those thoughts of stopping behind me. not sure if it will work for you but seems to do me just fine.

Get Motivated.......

Because the only easy day was yesterday......Be thankful that you are lucky enough to be able to do what you love..... I have this pic up and in my cubicle at work and it reminds me that I have it easy and good....My life's struggles pale in comparison to others......That makes me appreciate the time I am able to spend in the gym and with the people that I love....Sorry to get so mushy but I guess it helps me get out of "ruts" that I have occaisionally....

go to youtube and watch pretty much any of ronnie coleman's videos. always gets me up and ready if i feel a little lacking.

Balla- BUlldog is right...you just gotta want it...everybody has small ruts, but you gotta go into the gym and visualize what you wanna do and how intensely you wanna train. PERIOD. I started lifting regularly at 15 (highschool football) at 6'1" 144lbs, I just recently turned 22 and am now the same height, but 240lbs....carrying slightly more bodyfat.

BULLDOG- where is that pic from? What show is it and who is that guy? SOrry if I am being ignorant here, I just really wanna know, that is an AWESOME picture. Thanks for posting it! :)

Oh man I knew someone was going to ask me hopefully Big Bapper or one of our buddies in the UK can help.....He is from England and he was a bodybuildier who was in a bad car accident and lost his leg..........From what I understand he is the ONLY person to ever Guest pose at the Olympia, I could be wrong though...
