Hello I am looking for a poem I read over 20 years ago!!!
I am not blessed with a photographic memory but I think I read this poem in The Original Underground Steroid Handbook or possibly some other steroid book????
I remember a lot of POEM but not the entire thing
I was just looking for a copy of the POEM because I really liked it!!!
Hours of GOOGLE searches and I have not been able to locate the POEM?
Its amazing to me that I can't find a copy of this POEM on the internet.
to the best of my memory the POEM reads something like this
(start)
I stand before a mirror
with tears that fill my eyes
my solemn drop of promise are hidden in disguise
they take me on a journey
they make me stand and ask
they question my existence
they lead me to a path
a way all filled with shadows
but beckoned by a light
that looms among the darkness
and hides just out of sight
I stand before a valley a warrior waits in sight
he is clad in swords and armor and is now prepared to fight
He charges me with hatred
he says my life is dammed
he cuts me with the bitter truth
and shows me who I am
I look away in terror
I turn so I can't see
but as I turn I see his face
the one I fight Is me
the path has turned to jungle
the warrior waits within
by Scott Chinnery????
(not sure of author but for some reason thats the name that is in my head) I could be totally WRONG on Authors name but the words of the poem I recall are fairly accurate!!!
