Help understanding my echo test

Thank you to everyone who’s chimed in with suggestions etc very much appreciated

As suggested I have spoken with @luki7788 at length as he has a lot of experience with working with people in my situation and fixing them essentially and being able to continue bodybuilding which is my combined ultimate goal and Luki fully believes achieving pro status is very possible which is amazing

We’ve gone over everything and can see the places I’ve gone wrong and how to go about it in a much better way following his guidance

He has also gone over all my health results and believes it’s not in reality all that bad and can definitely be fixed with a smart approach

I’m VERY much ready to hand over the thinking part of all this to someone who’s
Extremely knowledgeable in all these areas and I can just follow the plan

Here’s to getting healthy, progressing as a bodybuilder and enjoying the process once again

Very good.
I expect your next post here in 12 months with a clean cardio report and 5kg of added muscle 💪

Hell yeah now that would be a result!

I just need to take a little step back to get my body in a good place for both health and to be able to progress again and then probably 2/3/4 steps forward from where I am now progress wise following the guidance to actually get me to my goals but also in a safe way

Can’t wait

I don't have much to add here other than thank you for sharing this.

I don't know about anyone else here but this has given me the kick up the backside to get my own Echocardiogram done. I should be able to claim this from my private medical at work, so have asked my GP if we can discuss a referral.

Whilst I'm not a big guy by any means, I weighed 90kg on stage at my last show, but at age 41 with 18 years of on/off moderate dosages and the occasional phase of fat loss phases including clen/T3, it is something I should be looking at and not just relying on having good bloodwork, BP and BG numbers

A CT scan would also be useful.

I’m far from clued up in this but would a stress echo not be more accurate?

A normal echo for me(at rest) showed I had a reduce ef.

A stress echo showed EF in 60s

I have had athletes heart before touching peds, as whilst I got into gear and bodybuilding late. I have been athletic all my life, fighting and then cycling. (Road cycling and touring not steroid cycling lol)

These tests were done prior to using any peds. And now I only bother with a stress echo

Where was your EF at rest?

I’ve been told the same from multiple people who know about this stuff and yes from what I can gather I think you’re right it may result in a more accurate picture…. Typically I only realise this AFTER the fact

A CT scan would also be useful.

I have that planned also, but my private medical insurance doesn't cover it

Sorry! Meant to have added that it was 46
Thanks. And what did the doctors say that measured it at 46? Did they diagnose you with anything initially?

When mine was measured like that I was diagnosed with heart failure and then online I learned that I am basically half dead and damaged for life. Couple of stressful days I had there lol

docs are fucking idiots and unfortunately, oftentimes have no clue what they are doing.
in 2021 when my cardiomyopathy was still not 100% found i was brought into one hospital where they did heart-MRI on me without starting the diuretic protocol. My lungs where full of water and my heart struggled to work. EF was 16% back then.
Doc told me WHILE MY MOTHER WAS IN MY ROOM "well, you are in heartfailure and it wont get better. We have to see for a Donor-heart".
well, guess the reaction of my mother..

😦 :ROFLMAO:

Yep. This is why I try to not see any Doctors with less than 4 years of practice. An experienced person in any field is invaluable.

Obviously I would prefer a doc with 10 or more years but those people tend to be booked up far into the future.

Literally same as you lol. Freaked me the fook out on a Friday evening whilst finishing work. Talk about a good way to start the weekend lol

I haven't read everything in here. I will say this. From what I have read so far everything you have said is "I". And that is just natural. We're all guilty of it including me. I don't know your situation as far as "wife, kids, family, friends". But more than likely there are people who love you dearly and care for you immensely. Not to mention if you do have a wife and kids who are dependent on you. Think for a minute about those people. And what it would do to them if you didn't take care of yourself like you should and as a result you left them WAY TOO EARLY. I'm not trying to guilt trip you or anything or give you a hard time brother. But sometimes we just need to stop thinking about "I" and think about "others". JMHO. Be safe.

100% agree with you

Started working with Luki who’s extremely knowledgeable in bodybuilding but also health related issues specific to mine

He’s gone over all my health stuff extensively and believes it’s nowhere near as bad as some stated and is very much an adaption to what we do but with some smart programming can be reversed and then progress forward smarter and safer

I don’t know if I will ever get any follow up tests as I spoke to the GP’s assistant and she said maybe sometime before 2030 as it would be weeks to months before the GP even looks at my referral request let alone begins to action it and that’s just step 1

So by the time (if ever) I get referred for more tests I imagine we will of long fixed the issues

Go private. The Nuffield have hospitals all over the country. Costs about £300-400. Get an appointment in about a week in my experience.

I did originally but need to be referred to a cardiologist by my GP apparently to figure out the next steps etc

But if this ends up going nowhere I will try and bypass it and go fully private but keep getting told I need a referral so we shall see
