Help with anterior delts

Ok guys, I have no anterior deltoids. I have decent size medial and posterior, I'm mil pressing 225 for 10 reps rights now. My bio mechanical leverage advantage on the bench, mil press and even dips place all the stress on my tri's, pec's and medial delts. I've tried lowering the weight and concentrating on contracting the anteriors hard, along with front raises but nothing is working.

Does anyone have any other input they can give? Now that my shoulders are starting to gain some good size it looks very off with no front delts.

I wish I had that problem.....

You may want to look into some ART (active release therapy). There may be some old adhesions or injuries that are hurting gains in that area. I just cannot imagine you not getting stimulation from all pressing movements, chest and shoulders, and front raises.....?

try progressively increasing your weight with your presses ;)

You might consider Syntherol.

Read Big A's article in the Articles Forum.

If you're shoulder pressing 225 pounds ten times and are not happy with your anterior deltoid progression, coupled with stimulation from benching etc, it is probably your genetics haulting your development.

Try plate raises. These place a great load on front delts. Also, when doing incline work for chest bring the angle of the bench up higher than normal, maybe two clicks of the adjuster. This will emphasise the fronts much more. When pressing go to a smith machine and press from the front with the bench placed upright and the bar glides very close to your nose (almost touching) lower to your upper lip, no lower and press out from there. give those a try!

I get stimulation in the anteriors, they are always sore as hell the next two days after my pressing movements. But I've never gotten a pump in them and relative to the other two heads they are severly lacking.

I think I would tend to agree with GeeNo that it's probably my genetics. I'll try giving oldfella's suggestions a try for a few months then it may be syntherol for me. Thanks to all for replying as well.

Hey Ghost, This is my opinion on shoulders..................How stubborn are calves to build??? Pretty damn stubborn. Well I believe that shoulder esp ant delts are the calves of the upper body. Like calves we must train them very hard to get a response, well shoulders are much the same. They are involved in every single upper body, and some leg moves that we do. Stands to reason that we need to hit these a bit harder to get growth out of them. Just my little twisted theory!

That's the first time I heard this. Most people have anterior delts that are too big, because that muscle gets so much work.
