HELP!

Hey guy's I need some help.... My wife took her old laptop into Bestbuy to have all her data switched over to her new laptop those idiot's did everything but transfer over her Kodak easy share pic's... She is devastated it had hundred's of our pic's and her dog pic's. We had them wipe the old computer's hard drive as I am going to use it in my business. Is there anyway of getting these pic's back from the wiped HD? Note the software has not yet been re-installed. My wife told me NOT to go up there as she is gonna tear them a new one when she get's off work.... I pity the fool's. And yes I know it was stupid not to back them up before she went in but I did not get the chance.

First never have them wipe a drive before you check out your PC. Guess you learned that lesson. Anyway, you will need something like Ontrack Easy Recovery or Norton Unformat. Do not install the software on the drive you are trying to recover, install it on another machine and then put the drive in the box after. You should be able to get it back. I do see this problem all the time because Kodak stores their photos under the program files directory. Kodak is shit.

Thanks for the help Kaiser. We were lucky as Kodak easyshare had them we just had to pay $70.00 to get them back. But my wife made Best Buy reimburse her.
