Hematocrit. Does it really worth?

The only blood issue I worry about now is thin ness. May have to get a wisdom tooth out and will need to stop my bromelain omegas and nattokinase so I don't bleed to death. LOL I knocked myself shaving the other day and took awhile to get it to stop.

Someone with a 60 % hemo I would bet is not getting tested while hyper hydrated.
Even those mid 50s and above should be safe as long as hyper hydrated and on omega bromelain and natto which reduces clotting and fibrinogen.
People also need to get their clotting factor tested, that will tell you alot about where you blood is at.

I was hospitalized back in 2022 for a heart problem. My first cbc had my hemoglobin at 18, hematocrit at 55 and rbc at 6.5. a few hours later another cbc was administered and my hemoglobin was 14, hematocrit 45, and rbc at 5. I sure didn't drink a gallon of water between tests as I was in the emergency room. Why such a difference in tests? Who the flip knows!

Did they hook you up with some IV fluids upon admission? If so, that would be the likelihood of the drop.

The opposite is also true. Anything we do to make are cardiovascular system function better lowers it. Cardio also increases blood plasma levels.
i can tell you without a doubt when i was cycling twice a week with each ride being between 40-50 miles my hematocrit was lower, right now dealing with a back issue and have been shut down about 4 months, when riding hematocrit 51ish, now 55ish, stood up fast and passed out one night, other times i would just get a little dizzy, also at times mild s.o.b., so started donating and all that went away, but hematocrit returns back to 55ish in 8-10 weeks. i was consistent with riding twice a week, hiking 1-2 times a week, and lifting 1-2 times a week, only on trt @ 100mg per week.

True but it is the same response for the same reason the way i see it. The body doesn't think it is getting enough O2 to do what it needs to do to be healthy so it makes more blood cells.
This is my experience with low MCV, low iron. Lot`s of really small RBC, body produces MORE rbc to carry more O2. I now supplement with iron for big juicy, airy RBC, MCV is back up, and hematocrit never creeps up, there is no "rebound" after donating. All this blood thinning supps just doesn`t make sense, it does not address the actual problem of low O2 in the blood... That was my issue.

Anyone using the at home hemoglobin and hematocrit test kits, if so which one are you using? Not sure if this has been asked in this thread, just reminded of it. Looking to pick one up.

My RBC/hema slowly or not so slowly depending on how much TRT/gear i am using. I have used iron supplements for a week or so after donating and never had issues with ferritin, cardio or anything else. Viscosity/thinness(ability to clot) of blood and the amount of RBC are not necessarily correlated.
