Hey guy's I need help with diet ideas for MMA.

What I am trying to figure out is how to time my carbs.

I leaned out earlier this year using keto but I am still holding 20-25lbs of fat I would like to slowly shed. If I was just lifting I could do keto again but the mma training is pretty intense and I can't make it through practice on zero carbs.

Here is my bsic training day, see you think I should be eating my carb meals.

5am.....half hour shadow boxing & functional training
6am.....Hour hike in the woods with 20 minutes running in the middle
8am.....CrossFit workout (20 minutes)
noon....1.5 hrs wrestling practice (only 3 days a week)

Lay around and eat till 5pm

6pm.....1.5 hours mma practice
8pm.....1.5 hours yoga and stretching plus corrective exercises EOD
10pm....DC style workout very short and intense(M, W & F) EOD

So I am doing about 4-6 hours of trainhg 5 days a week. I can eat around 3000-3500 calories a day and maintain my weight

Protein is around 200-250g
Carbs is between 250-400g
Fats about 60-80g

I'd like to get my carbs down to around 250-300 grams a day but I am not sure the best place to eat them so I get optimal energy from them.

I train Sat morning and then take the rest of the day off and all of Sunday off. Can I cut out carbs on Sundays?

Any suggestions?

Here's the foods I eat:

Protiens: beef, chicken, fish, pork, egg whites
Carbs: green leafy veggies, fruits, bananas, potatoes, sweet potatoes
Fats: olive oil, fish oil, mac oil, raw nuts

I am gererally ravonously hungry untill I get about 3500 cals in me on my training days, then I finally feel like not eating everything in site. If it is a non-traing day or a light day, I get full on 2700 cals.

Damn , it would seem to me that with all that activity you would be burning way more than 3500 cals unless your like 80lbs!

Looks like your not getting nearly enough rest either.

So you getup and train for 6-7hrs with no eating?

You better have a plan to do some sort of activity between 1:30 and 5pm........lazy ass!!

Gunsmith, I get up and eat at 4:30am then again at 8:30, in between I have some waxy maize and dextrose with electrolites. I eat all during my mid day break. some more waxy maize and dextrose with electrolites during evening practice. Then a meal or 2 after practice. I just didn't include all of that info in my first post.

And I get plenty of rest. I sleep 8 hours a night, nap during the day a few times and monitor my heartrate so if it stays elevated from the preveious day's training, I take the day off. You can't train like I do in if you are overextended physically, you will get sickor injuried and I do neither....I just keep training and getting a bit stronger everyday and making improvements,
 
I'm not sure...

If you have 20 - 25 pounds of fat to lose judging by your most recent pics. Seems like you are carrying a lot of muscle and not much fat.

Are you trying to make a certain weight class?
 
I don't need to lose that much, maybe only 15lbs either way I'd like to be 16-18% in the offseason.

I need a minimum of 2 to 3h after intense training to come down.
 
I'm only lifting for 15-20 minutes these days, it's short and sweet. I have no trouble falling asleep after any workout. I struggle to stay awake long enough to eat.
