HGH for maintaining muscle during PCT

I have access to some pharma HGH and was wondering if it would work well to help preserve some mass during a PCT. My plan was to start taking it a month before the cycle ends and then maintain daily use at 2 IU for an additional 5 months after. Does this sound like a solid plan or a waste of money?
 
I gain approx 1lb per 1iu/day up to around 5iu (haven’t gone over). That’s all technically water weight (or peripheral water weight) but it, I would imagine, could offset water weight drop after removing any aromatizing compounds.

So the maintained muscle is Intracellular water weight which of course is technically part of muscle.

Yeah and maybe a little hyperplasia of the muscle tissue would help. I don't see a lot of people talk about HGH in this context so I wanted to see if it was a good idea....pharma HGH for 6 months even at 2 Iu a day is a looot of money lol
 
I wouldn’t call that a waste of money at all....

HGH will not only help with muscle preservation – with decent training and diet it can realistically help you keep a good part, if not the majority, of the lean muscle you gained during the cycle. It also helps “consolidate” those gains and makes it easier to stay relatively lean while holding onto the tissue.

That’s one of the reasons you see a lot of enhanced athletes using pharma HGH "on and off" cycle and managing to stay in pretty good shape year-round – not just shredded for 6 weeks and then falling apart.

HGH has both anabolic and anti-catabolic traits:
  • it pushes muscle protein synthesis up (better nitrogen retention = more anabolism)
  • it helps counter muscle wasting directly and via the IGF-1 pathway
  • it improves metabolism and nutrient utilization, so carbs and protein are used more efficiently rather than just turning into fat
The only real “downside” is that pharma GH isn’t cheap, especially for multiple months, and you still have to respect potential sides (water retention, numbness/tingling, possible impact on insulin sensitivity in some people).

But in terms of using 2 IU/day pharma HGH around PCT to hang on to mass and keep body fat under control – that’s a perfectly logical plan, not a pointless spend.

Yes it'll make some small difference, not a huge one. If anything, it would probably just help you grow again once you get back on juice

I guess maybe I just want to see if this lifestyle is right for me..however the further into the cycle I am the more committed I'm starting to feel about just B&C especially since I have never wanted kids.

It's something to consider seriously and for as long as possible before you make the decision. PCT and keeping gains is mostly a lie pushed by people with vested interests. Nothing wrong with doing a few cycles and stopping, but expecting to keep a signficant amount of muscle or strength from it long term is unlikely.
