Well I have been using 10g glutamine for the last two months ever since I got the high ammonia level so now I will have to do more research on it to see if I should continue. Every other link I read says to take it. It's a shame the study you sent if so difficult to understand. I hate when the people who write these papers use such big words and don't convey the message properly.
I started Lysine two days ago so I will have to look into that too.
My blood pressure is very low so I have to be careful as well when it comes to citrulline and arginine. 105/57 is how low it's been lately. Thyroid and cortisol problems are also destroying my quality of life in addition to the ammonia.
NH, I can’t believe you’re still going through this. I truly feel for ya. Out of curiosity, why the l-glutamine?
What supps are you taking that lower blood pressure? Any medications? Are you still using frequent tadalafil? So many of the main supps many use can lower bp so I assume you are on quite a few. Perhaps drop a few of them and add the citrulline in.
I don't usually take cialis anymore. No headaches. No BP meds. I just eat such a nutritious diet and do take supps that could be lowering it. The garlic cloves I eat too. I do not believe any symptoms are related to my BP, because I feel exactly the same even when it's 125/70
Serum ammonia levels fluctuate during the day .
I think that can be your secondary concern.
My suggestion is that you look at your Thyroid first.
A disruption in your calcium pathways will wreck havoc both mental and nenuber mauromuscularly.
Many times it will be ever so slight, whether hypo/hyper i your numbers will fall in range.
We have been fed the thought we ALL have a slowing metabolism....
The reality is that our lifestyles, diet, and supplementation is all geared to "REV our metabolism".
A small shift in that axis can throw you off.
I would suspect slight hyperactivity of the thyroid.
The cause is the "hidden IODINE".
They are just IMO.
Holy false alarm. My ammonia was tested yesterday and it was only 21! Looks like my symptoms have nothing to do with this
^^^VERY GLAD to read this brother
BUT F*CK lol ..i was just finishing a 3 mile long PM to you regarding "urea cycle dysfunction & ammonia overload"
ya ..1 thing about ammonia over load is you will stink ..your pee, your sweat will stink etc
(..which, just as stated in the study BIO posted #15, can happen with normal liver labs
..happy that at least the list shortens for you
.
Obviously it's all guess work but hopefully optimizing your thyroid will make a big difference. Sometimes it only takes something fairly small to knock something off but the side effects can be significant.
Have you ever thought about just have a massive clear out? Meaning drop all (or most) supplements and just see how you are in a few months. It's a lot for the body to process throughout the day. I know for me personally it makes a big difference as do AAS. I know you have only used small doses for a long time but it can all be a factor. Many things increase my fatigue. 10mg MK-677 or 2iu HGH and I can barely function. I am not for 1 second stating that is what is causing your issues as I doubt you even use any of them but just highlighting even 1 drug or 1 supp could be throwing you off. Worst case scenario you stop them for 2 months it makes no difference so you just go back on them. I doubt your health blood markers will change by dropping everything (most things) especially if you just stay on a low dose of trt the entire time.
NH, I can't remember the exact terminology, but IIRC, you had problems with your aortic valve basically splitting open (ugh...correct and update that for me...)? Is there anyway you could still be undergoing any kind of stenosis of that valve, or something similar?
If so, i'm sure that could be a factor (not saying that's what's going on), as it will be similar to what a lot of people feel who need a TAVR or similar surgery from stenosis.
Just throwing that out to get your thoughts?
Whats your blood pressure over a period?
Do you drink a lot of alcohol ? or at least alcohol daily ?
