The VERONICA-Nigeria trial (2022–2024), led by Dr. Dike Ojji, demonstrated that a low-dose triple-pill combination (Telmisartan 20 mg, Amlodipine 2.5 mg, and Chlorthalidone/Indapamide 12.5 mg) significantly improved blood pressure control compared to standard care in Black African adults with hypertension. The single-pill strategy reduced home systolic pressure by 5.8 mm Hg more than standard care.

I saw a video about this on YT. Thought it was interesting. The study was for Hypertension which could be applicable for here. Obviously clean up the lifestyle as much as possible, get checked for sleep apnea...

Well, it's not surprising – three different pathways influence blood pressure reduction, so it's no wonder the effect is better.

Just as "stacking" steroids works better than a single compound in a high dose, so it's the same with all other medications.

Indapamide should be 1.25.

the study is just very , let’s say niche. It’s only participants are sub-Saharan Africans average age of 52, and this drug protocol is only weighed against their standard drug protocol that only consists of 3 drugs in a specific escalating fashion.

I suppose. I saw it as a tool in the tool box for people that might decide to take their BP into their own hands or give them an opportunity to talk with their doc about it.
