Unfortunale my blood pressure go high when i'm on cycle (158/98).

So i'm thinking to run some Norvasc at 5mg day (or diovan at 40mg day).

What do you think? this is the only to drugs that i can buy from my supplier..

Bp

Bump...I have the same prob and would like to know what some ot the VETs have to say about it :yeahthat:

When BP gets too high I supplement with OTC sups and blood pressure meds.
BOTH.

I just went to my Dr and put me on lisinopril. Some things should be managed and monitored by you Dr.

Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

Blood pressure is serious and should be monitored and controlled for sure. With that being said, I would try everything OTC, natural, hollistic, etc. I could before I used a prescription med. That is my opinion on all things though. Exhaust all other options first, prescription drugs are a last resort.

diovan at 40mg should do it. I used high amounts of hawthorn berry and my readings were still high, was on it for months was shocked to see it did not work as I heard so much good about it.

The supps will cost more than actual diovan, so get some!

Can you describe some natural sups for BP?

CoQ10
Garlic
Hawthorn Berry
Baby Aspirin
Fish Oil
Folic Acid
Cardio
Calcium
Magnesium
Potassium

What are you on? Sometimes adjusting different compounds can bring relief

I'm on micardis prescribed by my doc for my hypertension. Best thing to do is go to your doc, get your bp measured and have him/her prescribe you a bp med. I am also taking hawthorne berry as well which is supposed to help with that.

Mine had gotten that high as well. I was able to get it down just a little with supplements but it wasn't enough and supplements are so stinkin' expensive. My nutritionist doc had me on 7 grams of fish oil at one point. Went through a couple before we settled with losartan. Amlidopine was only able to drop a few points when i tried that one, sorry don't remember the other name but it affect erections negatively so I was like forget that noise lol.

Sometimes doc's will prescribe some otc water pills to get it down as well. If you feel like you are holding excess water try that. I agree with others that say try supplement/natural route first, might work for you.

good luck

thats a great list. I'd like to add celery seed and something like arganine or agmatine in there as well. i got mine up to almost 160/100, its back in the 115/75ish range now. keeping a clean diet helps a bit too. it helped me feel a lot better.

cycle assist has a good selection of otc supps. I use it as a base and add coq10, fish oil, garlic, etc.

There's a lot to take in. It's not always about taking something. Sometimes it's about NOT taking something. AAS related high BP is all about high rbc and overall blood volume. No herb or even a med is going to significantly impact that problem.

Here's some things to try in addition to a good diet:

Watch your blood pressure with a cuff often
Take out sodium
Watch caffeine
Drink a lot of water
GIVE BLOOD, often
Lower your stress (seriously)

Sometimes meds just cause some capillary dilation which temporarily lowers BP but does nothing for the 54 HCT sludge your heart is trying to circulate. Thinners often achieve their goals by reducing platelet count which is why it's hard to stop bleeding when taking them.

Discuss all this with your doctor but remember there is no magic cure for AAS associated hypertension. Best wishes and good luck.

There are many good suggestions in this thread already. I always had high blood pressure (150s/80s) and got my blood pressure back to around 110/75 to 120/80 by doing three things:

* Taking aromasin to control aromatization of test
* Doing cardio regularly, like 3 times a week or more at 30 - 60 minutes
* Paid more attention to sodium content in food
* Fish oil ED

Good luck finding what works for you!

Good info right there. If your RBC (red blood count) is high, the best way to bring it down is giving blood. Your body will produce new blood within a couple of days and the count will come down.
