High Calorie Meals and Cardio(Running)

What would happen if someone built alot of mass and eat that way.

Eat High Calories meal 3 times a day. Protein + Carbs.

And start running at slow pace.

Im 6foot 234 pounds.

I eat like this.

Breakfast: - Eggs sausage cheese mcmuffin + 1 orange juice and 1 Potatoe

Lunch: - Mcdonalds trio Big Angus hamburger, fries , 1 coke

Dinner:- Lebanese Chicken meal, Chicken, Rice, Potatoes, Salads + 1 Coke

Calories in calories out. I don't think it will matter. Just don't eat like that around when you run. That sounds like it would hurt. You'll do much better eating quality. You could probably eat higher calories on clean food as well.

I'm 5 11 and 225lb and currently running a 7min mile pace. I Usually do around 4 miles 3 times a week. Just start slow so you don't kill your joints. I run in minimalist shoes too so it can be done.

McDonald’s twice a day? Don’t you hate it after a while? That’s all really heavy food in general doesn’t it make you feel like shit?

What would happen? In terms of what? Building/maintaining muscle?


I've noticed increased endurance and intra-set recovery when adding light/moderate cardio, as well as fuller muscles (probably from increased glycogen).


HIIT and/or too much cardio has a negative effect on the parameters i mentioned above. Light/moderate cardio like a light jog 20-30 mins is the sweet spot for me.


Walking is good for burning extra calories and saving energy for heavy lifting but you don't get the same benefits.
 
Walking is the best for heavy guys. Optimally several times per day a fast walk for 10 to 15 minutes. Saves muscle, lower blood glucose, burns calories, saves energy for weights, helps with digestion.

But with that of diet you can save up all other 'optimizations' as it is absolute shit.

That one's only 710 calories. I'm thinking that even with the two other meals, you might not even be at maintenance, depending on portion sizes.
 
Yes BigMatt is back posting. Haven't seen one of these threads in a while. Can't remember your last diet but do remember you were pretty adamant about it being the only way to eat. Low carb, lots of eggs, etc IIRC? What made you switch to the mcdonalds lifestyle?

What is your approx bodyfat %?

What will happen eating that. It's impossible to state as there are so many variables. If it puts you in a calorie surplus then you would gain more weight. Eating that on a deficit will simply make you lose bodyfat. An extreme example are guys eating like that who have improved blood markers (cholesterol, inflammation etc) because it's less calories than they usually eat. Energy balance is the most important factor but no matter what I simply don't recommend eating like that. It's an awful diet and whilst everyone is different I would be surprised if you felt good eating that way.

Everyone is different though and if it suits you go for it but I think you could easily improve it. Do you eat any fruits or vegetables? It's not even what is listed in the diet but more so it's all eaten out. Nothing wrong with eating out but for every meal of the day? Or is the Lebanese chicken cooked at home? You could make your own burgers with good quality mince meat and throw some vegetables in there. The fries could be home made and rotated between white potatoe and sweet potatoe. But again if you prefer to eat out all the time that's up to you.

Incidentally when guys want high calorie foods I usually go with a high quality granola/muesli depending upon the person. That's an easy way of getting a lot of calories in and quickly. That or adding nuts or nut butter to their diet.

Seriously don't you feel like shit eating mcdonalds twice a day? Doesn't that shit slow you down?
