That’s most likely because most younger guys don’t do bloodwork . I was guilty of that too ,I just started doing bloodwork about 7-8 years ago. I actually started donating after reading your posts about high hemoglobin/hematocrit
That is one factor I hadn't taken into account! A lot of young guys probably don't even do a CBC to check it out. Im not sure if most family doctors do a CBC every year for young guys. I know once I got to be in my mid 30s they started to.
