High Liver Values?

Do you guys think Creatine and Glutamine can cause high AST/ALT? My buddy is not take any anabolics! He was taking a buffered Creatine and Glutamine for 6mos. He did say he was take Alka-Seltzer Plus and NyQuil for his cold for 3 days before his blood work! Doc. said the rest of his blood work looked great!

You could alwaYS GET THE TEST DONE AGAIN AFTER SAY 3 TO 4 DAYS OFF TRAINING

i know if you train heavy before the test it can raise your liver values but those seem pretty high for a couple of days of nyquil-does he take alot of tylenol or other medication

I dont see it happening. Either way with high AST/ALT levels he needs a proper work up such as titers for Hep A, B and C and test for Alk phos. Also, if he drinks they will ask him to stop for 30-60 days so they can retest liver enzymes.

I had elevated levels after just consuming creatine and No-Xplode. The doc was confused but eventually concluded it was the supplements. I got retested and it came back normal.

I don't think the meds causee it but I think the creatine diff. did! Creatine has elveated mine before eventhough some people say it will not!

When i tore my pectoral muscle i had high liver values.Take the test over again when youre not training.
