High Reps for Growth

I switch things up every three weeks or so. I go heavy for two weeks, third week i will go light with high reps. All body parts. Its good to switch it up. I lifted nothing but heavy in the low rep range 10-12 max.....for years...just like most do. But i have had good success switching it up!
 
I incorporate high and low reps in the same workouts. I can go as high as 25 to single 1 reps. I agree with Lats cadence breathing proper good form. Flex thru the whole movement. I use to find myself rushing thru my sets. You have to let your ego go and drop the amount of weight. When your flexing squeezing out every rep pause and slowly drop to feel the negative. Feeling the burn time under tension to failure.
Like I said I use this approach with both high and low reps..

I agree,when training you don't want to just rush through your workout by just lifting...You want the proper form,feel the weight move and let your muscles do what your training them to do...I hate watching people who rush through a workout just to get it over with...What's the point of even lifting if your not getting your full potential in for that training session...Might as well have just spent your time doing something else...I hope people are understanding what I am meaning with this post...
 
Agree! High reps works wonders for me. I have a switch up from week to week but for the most part its higher reps and solid weight. My legs didnt start growing till I started doing higher reps damn near throwing up from pushing those last few reps. Front squat all day

Legs do seem to respond well to higher reps but generally speaking the size of the muscle is going to be proportional to it's strength, relatively speaking. Progressive overload with heavier and heavier weights is essential.
 
This guy is the man I actually have tried this recently and I like it more than regular super heavy 6-10 at least for my body.
