Hitting a weaker bodypart 2-3 times a week

Have any of you guys tried hitting a weaker bodypart 2-3 times a week? Not full on hitting it but maybe one session dedicated solely to that bodypart and maybe dropping in a few sets for it on other bodypart days

My chest is lagging big time behind everything, and especially since i have quite bit delts and arms. My chest has definetely got better in the last year since i started training it stricter but was wondering if i chucked a few sets say maybe on a delt day this could be benificial?

Anyone with personal experience id really like to hear about it thanks
 
I was the opposite bro I had a great chest but lacked in shoulders and biceps. I would train delts twice a week hard. And would throw in biceps every other day not hard but enough to get a pump. It worked well for me. I was worried of over training but the delts really responded to it and the biceps did too.
 
Any tall guys with genetically skinny legs have good luck doing this? They've always been my weak point...

This is good advice. Legs is one thing i never train more than once a week, they just do not recover. Think im goona start doing some extra tricep work on different days though and often train back twice a week and deadlift on leg day so 3 times really and it responds well

For 8 weeks I hit biceps with back and triceps with chest and the both bi's and tri's again on their own day. It did the trick all right.

My chest is lagging as well.. I think I might train is 2-3x a week for the remainder of my 6wks on cycle. See what happens
 
it works iv done it w calves and delts for months on end. if your worried about overtraining eat more and do more gear. worked for me
 
not actually a bad idea...but in return I would cut back on the work load to ALL other bodyparts ...say cut back 2-3 sets for each ..other wise systemically you will over train ...

Yeah thats what i was thinking...im not thinking of doing proper sets etc for the chest but maybe 3-4 sets at the end of the session just to see how it grows...might try it and see were it goes
 
Had the same problem, worked it in a couple more times a week at heavy weight, low volume. 2-3 sets of 5-10 reps. Everything was brought into proportion within months.
