I remember when I was a kid I used to go back to the bahamas to see my dad and would always ask him to make me his home made lemonade and Beefburgers. I'm not gonna put the lemonade recipe up on here because its full of sugar and actually more addictive than crack, and I dont want to be the key for bringing down the forums members due to their unhealthily high sugar content thanks to that drink.

the burgers however

Get some lean steak mince add to bowl take one small onion and chop as finely as possible (a food mixer is good for this) then you add to the mince in bowl.

He would then get one egg, beat and add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper and a teaspoon of dark soy sauce. Put this into the bowl and mix the contents together, take some fresh parsley and chop again (or mix if your like) very finely and add to the mix.

(at this point you can customise your burgers by adding garlic, sundried tomatoes whatever really providing it is very finely chopped.) I used to love the sundried tomatoes because it was a bit different.

knead the mixture in the bowl together until well mixed up, then take a lump of mixture the size of a pool ball and form the mixture into 'balls' or 'Patties' depending on what you like.

He would then put them onto a hot barbecue grill outside and we would have them together. But seeing as I now live in england and unfortunately dont see my dad anymore I have to settle to cooking them in the george foreman.

I went home last night and made them cos I'd been thinking about them all day.

I could understand, they sound great. I think ill whip up a batch tonight.
 
I love my homemade burgers. I have not eaten those awful fast food burgers in approaching a decade.
 
I've been on these burgers for the last few weeks 3 times a week using the george foreman grill. I wish i'd never written about them on here cuz i'm addicted. :eek:

to all those that are in their off season I'll tell you the lemonade recipe.

Juice of 8 Lemons
finely grated skin of half a lemon
two trays of ice cubes
6 Tablespoons of Sugar (told you it was bad for you)
25 fl oz (750ml) Water

Get a Blender or food processor and put the lemons and sugar in there. Add 1 tray of ice cubes and 1/4 of the water. Blend until forms a kind of slush. Then add the Rind and the further ice cubes and blend until its even more of a slush consistency.

Lasty pour the rest of the water in slowly down the side of the blender so it doesnt go through the middle of it and destroy the slush. Mix it just for maybe 5 seconds so the lemon solution can mix with the water but the slush stays on top.

Then serve.
