For hypertrophy, which is usually better? Do all sets of one exercise before moving on to the next - or do one set of one exercise, then one set of the next exercise, etc.?

I definitely get more pump ( for what that's really worth) doing horizontal method, but the rest periods make for a longer workout time... just wondering what method is likely to elicit greater growth?

I suspect horizontal....?

I’m assuming this is just an insanely complicated way to talk about super-setting right?

Well, I'm talking about moving through 5,6 different exercises here, through the entire w o session. Not just super-setting 2. But yeah, I do tend to make things insanely complicated, according to the wife...🫤

So you are talking about circuit training of some sort as opposed to straight sets. Never know a mass monster to do movements as a circuit. Virtually all work 1 muscle till they are finished with it the move to the next muscle.
For health reasons i suspect a circuit style is best.
Mostly what you like to do and will apply yourself top the most works the best in my experience.

Will be good for cardio, calorie burn, but inferior for size and strength. Make harder to track progress
