How about a rant forum?

Since everything I post seems to make certain people want to piss their panties, how about we have a forum strictly for rants and off topic shit? I know for a fact that the MOST participated in threads are the controversial off topic ones. A board with ONLY bodybuilding info would be about as fun as reading a medical journal. A little entertainment isn't a bad thing. But, since there are the politically correct, never offend anyone, don't discuss religion or race or politics because it may cause a disturbance kind of people around here, THEY JUST DON'T HAVE TO GO INTO THAT FUCKIN' FORUM!!! I don't know how hard it would be to make a forum like that. It was never really an issue before. Of course the same rules would still apply, "no flaming members" would always be in force, but this way, maybe people who aren't afraid of expressing their opinions on off topic subjects would be allowed to speak without having their threads and posts erased.

You know what I find offensive?....people who can't tolerate being offended. Arguing your points intelligently to persuade people of your views is a much better way to get your point across and change minds than to say "this shit should be deleted". Come on now, you people are smarter than that aren't you? Isn't it possible to speak intelligently on YOUR position instead of telling other people they can't express THEIR position?

You know what man, I enjoy reading alot of those threads. The one about evolution was a great read - I guess the only thing that would have to be STRICTLY enforced is for whatever is spoken on the forum not to bleed over to post on the main forum, and of course like you said. The no flamming other members part of course would be the number one rule.

Exactly, what goes in the rant forum stays there. The people who are easily offended could just stay out. That way they'd never even know what was being discussed. The evolution thread is a good example. OuchThatHurts even participated. Religous people could have been offended by that thread, but it was still allowed to remain on the board. Why is it that it's ok to offend some groups but not others. I personally have a firm Christian belief system. To me the theory of evolution is just that....a theory. But I didn't complain about it saying it should be removed because it's offensive. I simply stated my view on the subject and moved on. Why should any other topic be any different? I'll tell you why. Because it doesn't matter if the topic is offensive, it matters WHO'S BEING OFFENDED. It doesn't matter if some people are offended, but there are SOME people that can NEVER be offended or the shit will fly and the crying will begin.....those are the people who should stay out of the rant forum.

I actually really like this idea. Get out some frustration or whatever (you know all of us roid raging and dieting haha). Could add a little spice to the board without it being in the main forum and making the board look bad. Im all for it and im sure alot of us are as well.... what say you Big A??

No, I need to rant because carrying around this huge freakin' sausage monstrosity makes me cranky.

Anyway, let's here it. Who likes to be able to talk about things that piss them off without breaking any rules and not worrying about having your posts erased.
