Agree with that. The world is moving in an Orwellian direction, in 2020 we saw no resistance from people who obeyed, I think that display of apathy to the part of the population will increase the speed by which the governments limit freedoms.

They're in Full Court Press mode and the vast majority are just utterly clueless

you only get the 1099 from coinbase/or any crypto broker if you sell the coin. If he bought and just sent it over to somewhere that wont warrant a form because thats not a sale.
