Well ive been lifting the heavy weight for about 2 weeks now heres my lifts so far and where i need to be at , let me know what you think about these cause i know nothing about powerlifting or heavy weight , oh and if your a powerlifter plz dont come on here and ruin my lifts by a 1000 lbs lmao ,im still aiming for my bet i made and i will reach it as for every week my lifts go up .


BB ROWS 365 for 8 reps extremely clean , goal is 405 for 8-10 reps , should be able to reach that .

Pull ups 75 lbs for 10 reps , goal is 90lbs for 10 reps , i should be able to gte this no problem.

this wasnt one of my bets but it could be , i just today straight bar curled 185for 5 clean reps, havent set a goal on this one.

squatts 405 for 12 reps form was flawless and had great depth on every rep, goal is 425 for 10 reps should be able to reach that soon .
 
I think they are pretty decent numbers. I'd be lucky to row that much even with piss poor form. Good job.

I PERSONALLY THINK THOSE ARE GREAT LIFTS!

It's a whole different ballgame when someone is able to do lifts with numbers like that with great form. I'll bet you hear it all the time...some guy tells you how much he lifts...then you see them actually lift and it makes you laugh.

Tonight I had some guy come up and tell me...yeah, you look pretty big, but see...I am a Native American and we don't build muscle the same way caucasians do! [of course I was trying to take a piss..while this dumb bastard was blabbing away] He followed me right out of the bathroom continuing with his excuses about why Natives can't build muscle....I just pointed across the gym to my girlfriend and said....THERE'S A NATIVE THAT CAN BUILD MUSCLE!
That shut him up finally.

Anyway...great lifts, Vander!:)
 
impressive weight on the back movements anything over 365 on bent rows and the form gets to loose for me. did 405X5 but wouldnt say they were clean. i squat alot more but then again i have never had back problems as you have so i would say thats pretty damn impressive also considering. cant even touch that curl weight, near 20" arms but have a hard time curling any respectable weight. being you've only been training heavy for a short-time you should be nasty strong pretty soon

physique wise I dont look anything like you:(

rowing 365 for reps is pretty serious.

Anything above 315 is no joke,clean form that is...

Honestly? Honestly that pretty kick-ass. I'm not sure I've ever seen someone with good form doing over 6 plates on the bo rows. That's impressive. The bb curls are sick weight too. I don't do curls that often though. Sorry to hear about the bad back... The squat is the only lagging area but seriously, anything over 8 plates is good for reps and long as you sit down into that pocket just before your ankles. I've seen guys doing 10-12 plates not even close to 90 degrees... I hate to see that. They'd have to pull off a half a dozen cookies to get their hips below the knee.

im sure you could have hit that 425 today if you had tried...and everything else looks on track too! how much longer do you have? for ome reason i thought the bet was that you had to perform those lifts in 2 weeks...how long do you have?

the most ive seen anyone straight bar curl was 205 for 10...it was impressive! 185 is big as well, LOL, you're curling what some guys rep on bp...thats funny as hell!
 
Well a friend of a friend of my cousins step-mother bb rowed 850lbs for 15 reps just yesterday and then she cleaned 650lbs for 50 reps. :D

I benched pressed 75lbs for a solid 2 reps...actually my form was pretty sloppy. Then I crumbled when I tried to squat 105lbs.

Those are excellent numbers bro! Esp. the BB rows.
 
nice numbers....im kind of with you on the back and leg stuff. the curls are a little heavy for me. but i can honestly say i have squatted 495x10 for 3 sets,......in the bucket!!:eek: but im not trying to hijack your thread bro. thats good stuff.

those lifts are great.for what your weight is and how much you can lift its very good.and if i am corect you just had operation,so here it goes again.keep it going and you will get even stronger.

Well, Vander, you can't really compare a bodybuilders workout to a powerlifter's lifts in a competition. They are using squat suits, bench shirts, back braces, knee wraps so tight you absolutely CAN NOT bend your legs without several hundred pounds on your back, etc. I know that your lifts aren't using any of these kinds of aids. I've recently gotten into powerlifting. So far, I haven't used any of the aids to lift. It's kind of weird, I outlift EVERYONE on my powerlifting team by a considerable amount, then, they put on all of their gear and blow my ass away. I saw a guys bench jump up almost 300 pounds after putting on his bench shirt:eek: . So don't worry about being compared to powerlifters.
 
Well to be honest Vander since you said you have been off training for a while and are now just easing back into it, I would say those are pretty damn good. I would be very happy if I were you with those lifts. They can only get better if you decide to get back into training be it for powerlifting, Bodybuilding or your own personal satisfaction.

Damn good numbers to me bro. I used to BB row 405 for 6-8 reps, 495 for 6 on the Apex, until I changed my form to almost having my back at a 45 degree angle and then rowing, damn weights cut more than half in weight but my back gets way more of a workout because absolutely no swing or motion to help it up whatsoever.
