Just got some blood work results back and me hematocrit went up to 50.8 from 47.7 (time to come off) but my hemoglobin went from 16.7 to 16.6 (also a slight increase in RBC from 5.55 to 5.78). So how does hematocrit go up a good chunk, but hemoglobin pretty much stays the same? Never had that happen before.

Thanks guys

Hematocrit should be approximately three times the hemoglobin value.

They can be discrepant for various reasons:

Dehydration can increase the hematocrit...

Insufficient iron or anemic conditions can reduce the hemoglobin.

Your values appear to correlate, and are within the normal range.
