How difficult is it for a stranger to get your cell #?

Let's say they find out my name from the gym and then text me with a proposal of unwanted (gay) sex :banghead: They talked like they have been watching me at the gym. The phone # area code was not in my zone and I don't know the number. I did not respond and there have been no more messages. Very, very few people have my cell #. Creepy as hell stalker.

Can just anyone get your cell number? Am I that stupid?

Probably someone you know playing a prank with a textnow type application on their phone.

I just recently had a friend send me (non-requested) pictures of herself half-naked. I didn't really know how to respond.

Unfortunately, I don't think it was a joke. I think Jrod is praying it isn't, at least. lol

Oh, but to answer your question. You can JUST ABOUT Google almost anything... or Facebook... or unauthorized account inquiries (employees of where you have business).

Yes, there are apps that can disguise the number a text or call is coming from.

Hopefully it's just a prank but if you have few that have your number, I can totally understand your situation. I'd be asking the same!?
