As the number of receptors increase as the dose increases it could allow higher doses to be more effective to a point. The smart thing would be to slowly increase dosage till gains ceased. It would seem.
Good thought. I think the more applicable concept across the board is how responsive are the receptors you have. Not sure research supports the development of more receptors... Hmm. Saturation at the receptors. The more T you take the more down regulation you experience at a given dosage in the future, which is why many typically increase their dosages with time and experience. I am a big fan of working with keeping SHBG down and very reasonable dosages, but that is just my two cents. Cheers.
A few studies i have seen point to more receptors popping up. If receptors down regulated at a given dose i would think a person would start to shrink if they continued to take the same dose long enough and would have to continuously increase their dose just to maintain size.
