I just got a new job that requires a bit more attention so I cannot eat aside from my mandatory breaks and lunch...
I already puree all my meals (chicken, beef, rice, oatmeal, you name it, its going in a blender with some crystal light and I pound that shit).
I think I am going to puree these meals, keep them in shaker cups ice cold in a cooler and then shake em and pound em on my breaks.... I'm not looking for criticism on my eating technique but Im more so curious to find what yal do with food during working hours????

Ive lucked out and have a fridge at work. Plus my boss is pretty cool about me eating whenever i want.

Homestlly tho how does that taste when you puree your meals. Is it nasty? I might try that.

I promised my good friend that I would leave it to him to post about the pureed meals, since it is his plan, and he has done it for a long time with great results. I will tell you though, keep it ice cold and as tart and sweet (crystal light lemonade) and you are cherry pie brother, slides down, great way to slam massive amounts of high quality protein....I wonder if there is a fridge where I work now...??? I'm working with dogs now, so I'm pretty stoked, I need to be around animals to keep my cool!
 
i never tried that but i would also be interested in how it tastes because i get sick of eating constantly maybe a puree meal every other would would out well. when im bulking i never get sick of food because i make the food taste good but when im cutting(now) its all plain and really bland hard to get down.
 
Yea, the pureed meals are great (my buddy is gonna kill me, I didnt mean to steal this topic......!!!!!)

But do you guys think that if I put pureed meals in a shaker cup and kept them cold, they would be okay? I know they would separate quite a bit, obviously, but shaking it up should solve that problem...

Anyone here have a job taht is hard to eat on? How do you improvise. I start tomorrow and I'm tryin to brainstorm here! Thanks everyone!
 
I would tell your boss that you are hypoglycemic (sp?) and it is important you eat every 3-4 hours if not you begin to shake and may even pass out. Ill bet they accomidate you
 
Workin with dogs would be the shit.

Heres another idea at my old job i would pack a cooler full of ice everyday, put my chicken in zip lock bags and pack it in the ice. Keep it good all day as long as you don't mind eating cold chicken breast. I would eat my carbs at lunch and breaks when i had time. When it was time to eat i would tell them i needed to use the bathroom, go to my cooler slam a chicken breast real quick and 2-3 tbs. of peanut butter. It got me through the day pretty well.
 
I bring a small cooler with ice paks in it. Works good enough.
 
I work in a cube so I can eat whenever I please. I just bring in loads of food and store it in our breakroom/fridge.

It's funny to see peoples reactions to the types of things we eat.

For instance, today. I mixed up the ol' Tuna/OJ shake and of course everyone had to come check out what I was blending. They just couldn't beleive I was really drinking that. :)

i used to have to do that and i would hide my food and go to the bathroom and eat it. LOL it sucked but got the job done. You could just have a shake with either oats or a fat source and pound them in between lunch, breaks ect..... just have them int he shaker cup or put into ziploc baggies. It will all work out.
 
I had a job where I barely had time to eat so what I did was pack shaker cups filled with protein powder and oatmeal. When it came time for a meal I would fill it with water, shake it, tongue the opening, tipped it up fast and waited until the oatmeal sank to the top then sucked it out. You just need to chewed it up and then drink the protein.

Now I can pack all my food in my cooler and we have a break room with a fridge...but I think I'm going to get my own mini fridge for my office. It doesn't bother me to eat my food cold.
 
I AM LUCKY, I HAVE MY OWN OFFICE WITH PLENTY OF STORAGE SO I KEEP SEVERAL CANS OF TUNA, A TUB OF OATMEAL, PLASTIC SILVERWARE, BOWL, A COUPLE SLEEVES OF RICE CAKES, PAPER PLATES, I BRING MY CHICKEN WEIGHED AND IN A ZIPLOCK, GREEN BEANS IN TUPERWARE AND FISH IN TUPERWARE AND KEEP IN A LITTLE REFRIDGERATOR. ALSO I KEEP A TUB OF PROTEIN AND ALL MY VITAMINS IN MY DESK. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS KIND OF ROOM, USE THE TRUNK OF YOUR CAR TO STORE YOUR NON PERISHABLES.
 
You should start a seperate thread about the puree meals :)

I just bring a cooler with all my meals and put them in the micro if needed. Insted of taking a lunch break I just take little breaks throughout the day for my feedings.
 
I keep my food in a backpack and travel with it throughout the day. I put 2 scoops of protein powder in 2 seperate plastic containers, 2 slices of ezekial or 100% whole wheat bread, 1oz of almonds in 2 seperate ziploc bags. I stay lean eating like this. That and cardio 4-5 times a week.:D
 
i cook at night and pack it all in tupperware for the office fridge. i have my own office so no one bothers me when i eat. i usually get taken out to lunch every day as well, so i eat well. :D
 
HERE'S WHAT I DO, IRONSERENITY.

EVERY MORNING I FILL UP A CLEAR ONE GALLON JUG OF WATER. I BRING A CONTAINER OF ISOPURE PROTEIN POWDER ...A BIG ASSED CUP THAT I CAN EASILY REACH MY HAND INTO SO IT'S EASY TO CLEAN...A SPOON, A CAN OF ALMONDS, AND THOSE SENECA APPLESAUCE CUPS [NO SUGAR].

PEOPLE AT WORK HAVE COFFEE BREAKS ALL THE TIME AND EVERYONE HAS TO URINATE...NO ONE BLINKS AN EYE. SO WHEN EVERYONE ELSE IS DRINKING COFFEE....I AM DRINKING A PROTEIN DRINK AND EATING A HANDFULL OF ALMONDS...OR RIPPING THE TOP OFF ONE OF THOSE APPLE SAUCE CONTAINERS AND SCARFING IT DOWN....IT'S BARELY A GULP AND TAKES SECONDS.

AS LONG AS I DON'T TRY TO HAVE OTHERS NOTICE ME...[ HEY LOOK I AM A DUH..BODYBUILDER...IT TIME FOR ME TO EAT...EVERYONE LOOK AT ME] ...NO ONE EVEN NOTICES....YOU CAN EAT A 'MEAL' EVERY TWO HOURS LIKE THAT. IT DIGESTS EASY AND IT'S QUICK.

I TEACH AND SOMETIME HAVE SEVERAL CLASSES IN A ROW...NO TIME TO EAT BUT I HAVE FIVE MINUTES IN BETWEEN BELLS TO GET IN A MEAL...BELIEVE ME I GET IT DONE. I ALSO GET THAT GALLON IN BY THE END OF THE DAY.

PLUS CLEAN UP IS QUICK AND EASY...RINSE THAT CUP OUT AND YOUR GOOD TO GO.
 
For my inbetween meals i do a simple protein shake with olive oil. Very quik and tasty. good time to get some good fats in and a boatload of protein.

Agreed. Its illegal to deny you whether your in blue or white collar work.
