How do you fellas feel after a workout?? I usually feel drained mentally and physically and even light-headed with no desire to do anything but crash on the bed. I always thought a person is supposed to feel energized after a workout. I've tried everything, (not eating before the w/o, eating before, eating right after, waiting an hour after to eat). I sip on Intra-Md during my workout and it has helped tremendously with recovery but I still feel like death post-training.
 
Isn't it Great!
Eating and resting all week so your at your best for your workout.
Then hit the weights with everything you have till there is nothing left.
Then go eat and rest all week so your at your best for your workout.
 
That's not good bro, you should feel good after a workout.

Do you feel like your going hypo? Seems like you getting ample sugars.

Time to re-evaluate the variables you control-
Diet-
Sleep-
Training intensity- Too many sets to failure. Lee Haney: "stimulate dont annihilate".
Routine/split- May be over trained and need to re-evaluate your split/routine.
Supplementation-
 
Do you use any preworkout stimulants? Maybe you're just crashing off of those.

Yeah I thought of this. But I gotta use something. At least caffeine. I need something to get me going at 4am.

Legs = exhausted and wanting to hibernate after wolfing down a cow.

Back = much of the same if I go heavy

rest of body = great, energized, pumped. Sometimes tired, not too often tho

Remember caffeine can have somewhat of a diuretic effect so make sure you stay well hydrated, especially since you workout first thing in the am because we all wake up a little dehydrated. If you're dehydrated you'll feel pretty much exactly as you described, shitty and tired.

Maybe get blood work done to see if there is anything your lacking. I feel good after a workout with a great pump. I feel some what energetic .
 
I feel alive after a workout. Especially when I follow up weights with cardio, I feel like I've just detoxed my body and mind.

Feel the same way.

Endorphins kick in after 10-15 post workout with the exception of leg day.

Limping around and feeling like ass after legs :eek:
 
If I've hit legs n back IMO how they should be I'm shot to shit

If I bounced out if the gym feeling revitilised n full of energy I'd be annoyed I'd had a wank workout

i feel tired and drained about 90 min later. its probably because i workout in the evening though.
 
Absolutely fucked for a few hours then OK. If in do 2 big workout without a days break I sometimes feel like im hungover next day. I always train hit and push to the absolute limit so there is a price to pay. Concrete guy pretty much summed it up in post 2
 
I feel amazing but that can be in different ways. As Richie stated the body part trained is usually the biggest factor. Some days I feel energized, pumped but relaxed at the same time. Other times (usually after a long leg session) I feel drained but in the best possible way. I love the feeling of barely being able to walk home. I am so relaxed and at peace and will just chill and watch tv and eat.
 
I'm doing fortitude training right now and after my workouts I feel exhausted. I also sip on intra-md during my workout but I'm carbless before my workout so maybe that's why. But as soon as I eat about 45 minutes after my workout I feel good. Like I had a hard workout, but not drained.
