I'll usually have my last meal 45-60 minutes before. Get my bag, write the workout down, grab my prewo drink(s), pack my intra, make sure the iPod's there and jump in the car. I'll usually listen to either hip hop or spa music. It give me a lucidity so I can think about the task ahead (which usually begins the night before as I drift off). Although at this point in my life, not often, but sometimes, I'll get in there and just change my mind about everything and do what I want, but always with measurable results and progress the goal - either during the workout immediately or as a step toward a bigger goal I'm working toward.
