I just put oil on a skillet on medium heat and flip every 5 mins until cooked all the way through.
I keep it very boring, should spice it up a little more, but salmon already tastes very good plain.
I know this thread is a little old... but try a little white wine to replace the lemon. With a fatty fish like salmon you'll need an acid...fish in general pairs very all with acids. The caper suggestion is pretty fucking good too...try some finely chopped hazelnuts or almonds to for a little texture...
I've always felt that swordfish didn't need much help. It's pretty tasty on its own. Just some salt and pepper, garlic, and a little bit of lemon. Mmmm
