It should pretty muxh be common knowledge to everyone here that if you are using the same weights for same reps you were a month ago you didn't grow shit. So with that in mind, which form of progressive overload do you prefer? Do you add reps until you hit a certain rep number then up the weight and work your way back up again? Do you get spotters to help you grind out reps with weights you cant handle solo? Do you add more sets with a weight until you can handle it for high volume then add weight?
Its pretty much a pipe dream to continually add 5lbs to every lift each time you go into the gym (although it does seem entirely possible for long stretches with leg compound movements and deadlifts.) So for the advanced guys here what does a typical months worth of training progression look like for you?
