How heavy does a 6'5 guy need to be to have 20" arms?

Heavily dependent on muscle bellies and many other factors, but just take a guy with average arm insertions and 10-13% bodyfat. How heavy do they need to be to get into 20" arm territory at 6'5?

My arms feel eternally small but I'm barely pushing a lean 230 at this height. Haven't used much gear yet. Wondering if I just need to put on another 30 pounds, because it seems like I'm always comparing numbers with shorter guys.

Curious what you've seen or what your numbers are, for the taller guys out there

Impossible to tell.

Depends on your genetics.

As your bw increases you'll get bigger as a whole, but how that's distributed is due to your parents.

Generally speaking, arms I've seen are as something that is as much of an illusion as it is about the size itself. Wrist size, muscle bellies, thick brachia...

I think it was alfresco that posted about Arthur Jones and the arm measurements of Arnold and Sergio (very close to the size of his head). Very revealing stuff when it came to judging arm size.

Well, for comparisons sake. I was about 240 pounds and had 20 inch arms at 6 foot tall. I was around probably closer to 15% bf then, maybe a bit lower. Bodyfat does have a big influence on the size of your arm. When I was about 10 or 12% my arms were down to about 19 1/4 inches. Doing simple math using height in inches and doing a ratio would say you would only have to be about 257 lbs, but that doesn't sound right to me.

Like thinker said, a lot of it would be genetics too. I also think that if you were someone that trained mostly upper body and had skinny legs then you could weigh a lot less. Not something you want to pursue though.

Old school numbers would say 10-15 lbs of body weight per inch on an arm. But some people grow better then others.

At some point, your genetics just say stop... personally I know I could add 60lbs of bodyweight and most of them, even if only muscle (like it was easy lol :D) would only reinforce my strong parts like back, traps, shoulders and legs... I'd be damn happy if I gained 2.5 grams in each triceps... haha nature is so unfair! :p

If you only Train Arms.....
Last yr I could not train Back and my Arms were noticeably Bigger.
This Year my Back has blown Up but my Bize seem smaller.../
Same weight just different in were its holding!
I'm dropping from 25 sets to 5 on Back to see if I can move some Musculature into the Bize!

shoot a buncha oil in there, u can have 20 inch arms easy.
til they spring a leak.

Follow Big A’s Syntherol protocol and you can have 20” arms at 6’5” 200Lbs.

How the hell are we supposed to know that? It's genetic.

I will say 20 inch arms on a 6'5 guy is not going to look very impressive.

I'm 6'2 220ish <15% with about 19 inch arms pumped and I feel like they look small as fuck.May be in my head though.

Anyone know how big Aaron Reeds arms are? He's 6'7 and lean.

So hard to know. I know guy 6'4 300 and probably less than 19 inch arms but someone like flex wheeler probably had 21 inch arms around 200. Brandon curry trains at my gym and back when he was amateur and under 225 probably had 22 plus and didn't train them . Not sure how old you are but there was guy back in 90s named Jeremy Freeman that was huge but small arms. I was introduced to Ed Conners when I was teen and he would measure everyone when they came to his house and said Freeman had largest chest of anyone he had ever measured but I think less than 20 inch arms even with oil he could never get them where needed to be. I've had 20 inch arms by 19 but I'd rather be 6'5 now if that makes you feel better

you want 20in+ arms at ANY height....????

you better have some damn good triceps....

Great point. Everyone thinks biceps when they think arm size because they measure around the peak. But triceps by definition is a larger muscle group, meaning it can contribute more to overall upper arm size.

Not to mention that arms with weak triceps look much worse than weak biceps. I’ve seen knuckleheads site enhance only their bis - looks stupid.
Triceps help damn near every upper body pose.

I'm still chasing 18"..... :(

Granted being short has it's advantages though...everything looks bigger! :D

well . . .

There are 20 inch arms and them there are 20 inch arms.

Some 20 inch arms (or smaller) can and do look like a ham.
Others look like a road map (preferable in my opinion).

As a side note . . . it is ‘easier’ for a tall person to have large
arms than a smaller person. Just a fact of life. Maybe a shorter
person has more of a desire to work out than a taller person.
I don’t know, but how many tall people do you see working out
with weights in a gym. Not many compared short(er) people.

Size is an illusion. Measurements, bodyweight, and strength
are relative and in the grand scheme of things mean nothing.
It is how you look if you are a bodybuilder.

Do the best you can with what you have, do no harm, and be
happy with yourself and what you have. Easier said than done
I know. I'm still working on it.

Going to be different for everyone

At 5'9 197 lean(have vascular triceps, web veins on inner bi flexed) mine are only 17" cold flexed, but I have very weak biceps

Guy I work with has 18s at same height and 180-185, but im literally half a foot wider than him because I have great back and shoulder genetics, but his arm genetics are crazy, size and shape.

I'm guilty of this...maybe a Napoleon complex. But at my height....if I weigh below 190lbs....I feel like you can't even tell I workout when I have a T-Shirt on.
