How long are you in the gym for?

1 set of deadlifts,
1 set of squats,
1 set of incline bench and
1 set of free weight t-bar rows

try doing that in 10 minutes 😅
Even banging that out with heavy weight would take about 20-30 minutes to execute and trying to get that all done in 10 minutes would turn that into a cardio session!

About 2 hours lately- that’s a lift, a bit of mobility and prehab before and after, and a 10-minute HIIT session on the stairs. Sometimes closer to 2.5 if I really need to hammer the mobility work, or if I want to take more videos.

Trying to trim it down lately, I can make it close to 1.5 hours if I skip mobility work…but if I don’t do it at the gym I end up letting work and other tasks during the day get in the way of it.

I’ve picked up the pace a ton, even as I’ve gotten bigger. Old me took 2.5-3 hrs without even doing the cardio or mobility at the gym. Funny how “lower volume” progressive overload obsessed training can end up taking so goddamn long 😂 Every set feels like it’s important enough to require a long rest and a psyche up.

typically 1.5 - 2hrs total for me, but like some have said depends on who's in the gym and what we doing that day lol

After warm up and feeder sets 60-70 min. I do however train at a good clip. 60-90 secs rest tops unless I'm doing giant sets. Then is 5-6 exercises in a row with 2:30-3 min rest.

2-3 hours. Hour and a half spent lifting, another hour and a half getting in a majority of my steps in(its winter and cold here) and 20-30 mins of zone 3-4 cardio.

Usually 60-70 mins. Thats all my life allows in reality lol I have a 2 year old and a wife who works. That means I have to get in, get warmed up, train fuckin hard, and get out. The single guy (or pre-child days), i'd be there for 2.5hrs bullshittin, cardio, all that lol. I also do my cardio at home at another time.

Right now, due to my work schedule during the holidays, im able to be there for 2 hrs which enables me to group my workout and cardio together.

1.5 to 2 hours including 30 minutes of cardio and warming up. All of my rest periods are timed.

I refuse to talk to anyone at the gym. I could see how people who do are there much longer. lol

1.5 to 2 hours. But if I'm strapped for time I'll get a 1 hour session in that's really a nice change of pace as I'm trying to be as effective as possible in that 1 hour. Gym time is me time and I enjoy it so getting in a getting out quickly doesn't make much sense if it's something u enjoy doing.

I do AM and PM sessions.

AM 45-60. PM slightly less but at least 20 mins of stepmill.

I find this much better than doing a single session for 2 reasons. 1) I definitely have more "gas in the tank" for the later exercises 2) Love the gym and it is a <10min drive for me.
since i am at the "end" (well, there is no end, its always machines out, new ones in) of building my dream home gym i am also doing this when job schedule allowes.
Both sessions together in total around 2 hours.
I feel the same: i train push FB and Pull FB and the muscle group(s) at the end usually suffered. For my split, it is a game changer.
I just make sure to have atleast 4,5 hours and 2 good meals in between the session

wtf, you marathon session guys are making me feel like an underachiever lol. Typically about 1.5 hours here, with 30min of that being cardio.

If people can fit it in I think it is a very good way to train.

I usually put smaller muscle groups in for the PM workout. Today AM was Chest and tris and PM is medial delts (I can only do laterals cause shoulder fucked), calves.

You do get some odd looks from the gym staff though "Back again" Har har har...."Yeah fucker, back again".

About 2 hours.
That covers three bodyparts and 10m of quick cardio before I leave.
3 workouts a week, MWF.

6x times a week, probably 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on tests, exercise selection and setup, waiting on equipment from other gym goers, set ups, etc.

Currently averaging 60-80 minutes. That’s zero cardio too. I need to pick it back up but just been too lazy! Rest periods are all timed with 1-2 minutes rests depending on how I feel.

I really can’t imagine 3hrs. That’s a long ass time for sure!

Just curious really to see the variance between everyone on here.

Seems to be an ongoing thing where it’s who can be in and out the gym the fastest. Sam Pearce made a good post on it a while back.

For me it’s my favourite time of the day, and I look forward to it all day so I’m fooked if I’m gonna be rushing it!

Saying that, my rest periods are timed and I don’t mess around between sets, my actual training has a pace to it, but I do like getting in the gym early, properly warming up and then afterwards I’ll do a lot of stretching and some mobility.

All in all, I’m probably in the gym altogether between 2-2.5hours including all warm ups and post workout stretching/mobility.

How about you guys?
45 minutes to a hour , tops
