What would one take to stop the growth??

and do I drain it??

WEll I did a SUSPN 75mgs with a slin pin into my bicep. that was the first time ever I have shot my biceps. There is a red spot the size of a 50 cent piece. Sore but not so sore it is killing me. a little puffy.

An abcess needs to be lanced/drained and allowed to heal open to air (sterile gauze dressing). Best to let the surgeon do that one.

Also, I did biceps the day before...the one bicep that I stuckis a little more sore than the one I did not stick.

Also, I have access to a DOC without nhaving to go to the ER or after care.

What do you guys suggest I ask for??

If your site is noticeably warm to the touch, inflamed, you've spiked a temp (above 102), and/or you begin to see red lines running across your muscle belly...get to the doc ASAP. If you don't have any of these symptoms now then just be wary of them for the next few days otherwise it should resolve on it's own.

in my exp. if it is just irritated it may just get kinda hard and sore and hot for a week or so, kinda hurts if you rub it ect. if it is going from irritated to infected it changes really fast, that thing will get really big fast, ussually dont see the tell tale red streaking but same type of signs as the irritation but seems to get bigger everyday. If you are goona go in to try to drain it, I have used a 18g and as soona as I broke into the capsule of the infection puss cam a runnin out, driained all I could and sucked a bunch out with syringe. Idealy you should be on antibiotics before you try to drain , if you decide to go in you risk the infection getting systemic.

if it were me and I thought it was infected I would jump on antibiotics and drain if I had to also animal came up with an idea of a BA wash for the area once you have drained it, but the smartest move is to goto the doc tell him your vitamin b12 shot is funky. Dont just try to tough it out, you can go from bad to serious trouble fast if it is infected. good luck

I keep Keflex on hand. It's as easy to get as Alka Seltzer if you know where to go.

I would expect that shooting a virgin spot such as bis would be painful, esp with Susp! I broke-in my arms using a milder substance, then progressing to harsher stuff.

Keep an eye on it, esp your temperature!
