I've been doing research and it seems like the consensus is 4-8 weeks is what a lot of guys are doing. But I've also been reading about guys staying on for 12 weeks since anavar is a mild compound. How long do you stay on anavar?

It is mild, but will impact your cholesterol-notably lower your good cholesterol..

Mild? It's oral steroid like every other. So bad on lipid profile, bad on cholesterol and very bad on livers. Take some protection to help your body during period ON and also period OFF to recover. How long you can stay is irrelevant. (4-10 weeks ) in my opinion. DO Blood test every 2 weeks, to monitor yourself and this will tell you when you should end your cycle. But If you don't wanna do this. Than just don't be longer than 6 weeks ON, because this is probably the safest period to be on ON. Hope it helps.
 
I normally run it for 6 weeks.
 
No less than 8 weeks. Preferably 10 if the wallet can handle it.
 
personally i feel the length should be determined by the dose. the lower the dose the longer you can run it. My personal fav is 100mg ed for 8 weeks.
 
This year I'm running it for 11 weeks at 60mg/day. Never went over 50 in the past, or for longer than 7 weeks so we will see what the difference is.
 
Ive ran it for 12 weeks at 20mg it was dr. Precribed or i would have run it higher all blood test came back fine
 
I'm going to be doing a 12 week cycle. I was thinking 6 weeks on 4 weeks off then 4 weeks back on leading up into my powerlifting meet. I will be running 75mg with Test only@600mg/week. Thoughts?
 
Believe or not, I've actually used it as a jump-start for my last few cycles, running it at 50mg for 3 weeks and it's worked wonders. My body reacts VERY well to it and by Day 8 I'm experiencing some great strength gains. Then within a week or so everything else begins to kick in. Plus, limiting it for me is just preferred due to the negative impact to cholest. in addition to crappy back pumps I experience if duration is extended.
