how long does a vial stay good?

Hi all,

Mate of mine gave me vial of test he didn't want that still has 9ml left from a 10ml vial. It's been open for quite a while, maybe 6 months or so, and I'm wondering if it's still good?

I trust the guy to have sterilised the vial when he was using it, so there's no issue there, but I am wondering if a sterile vial stays sterile for that long once opened?

If it's no good anymore I'm happy to get rid of it, it's not like test is expensive, but it seems a shame to waste it unnecessarily.

I am sure it's fine as long as he stored it properly. I always feel weird about storing an open vial. I plan my cycles so I use them up

Agree. A lot of suppliers use sealed vials and filter(with a vent) and that's it. So that means 2 needles of 20-18ga have already been inserted. Should be a non-issue. If you trust your buddy, that would be my only concern.

Needs to be stored away from sunlight preferably a dark place at room temp

if you want to be safe get a sterile .2um filter a closed sterile empty vial and that's it.
regarding sterility issues it's better to be safe than sorry

I concur with most of the above. As long as the gear is good and your friend used the proper sterile protocol before poking the top of the vial and you stored it in a cool, dark, dry, place, it should be still good after 6 months.

Side note: Any proper aas that hasn't been used should be good for years if stored in a cool, dry, dark place.

If the vial has been used by someone before I would filter it. You honestly have no idea of his sterilization techniques nor where the vial was stored and you may be risking an infection.

I posted here a few years ago about me finding 6 vials of Tren that I made from pellets that were stored in a suitcase for 2 years that I forgot about and found. They were g2g.

No Sponsors use that method. Some guys may do that when they make their own oils because it's a small amount.

The oil is injected directly into the sterile vial right from the filter then it's crimped with the rubber stopper and flip top.
