How long is your drive to the gym?

Just wondering how far you guys drive for a good gym?

Within 15 minutes of me, I have an esporta (La fitness), planet fitness, and an anytime fitness. I finally took a leap 30 minutes a way for a more bodybuilding oriented gym near me, and holy shit it's amazing. I got to try some arsenal, nebula, paramount, and hammer strength stuff I have never even seen before. Plus the atmosphere is way more hardcore than commercial gyms. It is more expensive, but I think it would be worth it long term.

You always have to remember, you are a product of your own environment..

The longest drive I make is 20 minutes and that's only due to horrible traffic and construction - it should be more like 10-12. I don't like a long drive to the gym - I want to get there, get my shit in, and get out.

I live in the city so I have many gyms within 10-15 minutes of me. We no longer have hardcore gyms in Dallas but I don't care for those. I'd much rather train at a 24, LA, Gold's, or Fitness Connection.

It was 40 minutes roundtrip but a new gym opened up 3 minutes from my house and I've been going there for awhile.

< Than 10 mins. BB and PL friendly (not a chain)... Great place... Some Strongman implements as well (viking press, logs, sleds, etc).
A friend I started training with in my home gym, back in 1978 when we were 12, owns it...

1.7 miles drive, but 95% of days I walk briskly as cardio and warm up. Wintertime jacket and gloves required.

I feel fortunate to be so close to the best gym in town.

15-20 for both gyms. Unless there’s some crazy accident on the freeway. During COVID lockdown I was driving 45-60 mins to get to one of the only open gyms. So I’m happy for 20 mins

Are gym memberships cheaper in the states? A few of you guys seem to have three. I have one, but I have access to any location in the country.

Less than 10 minutes. Not a hardcore gym but I get a good workout so that’s all I care about.
