If you eat 500 over you will gain 1lb of fat per week, if you eat 1000 over you will gain 2lbs of fat per week, this is just math, a pound of fat is 3500 calories.

I like to try and gain about 1lb of fat per month for maximum growth.
 
As I get older, I find that I need less calories to gain.......ugh



that is why people get fat compare to when they are younger

I've been dieting on a little less than maintenance calories for a few months now and have been dropping body fat while on test/deca/hgh. I recently dropped the deca for tren and my weight loss has stalled but my body is looking fuller lately. I wonder if the tren is utilizing all of the nutrients more efficiently than before and making me build muscle even while in a deficit.
 
I would rather diet clean and correctly and look good year round and make quality gains, even if the scale doesn't tick as fast. Makes prep easier, I feel better, and I'm healthier. I don't see the point in bulking and adding unnecessary fat. If I gain 2 pounds of solid muscle (not 2 pounds of water, fat, etc., I'm talking 2 pounds of real muscle) per month, I consider that month extremely successful. I like looking good! I don't like having fat on me just to have to work extra hard to cut it all off. With a little discipline, you can gain muscle and stay lean, ESPECIALLY when using AAS and growth. Just my opinion.

500 cals above maintenance eating a clean, healthy diet of nutritiously dense foods gives me much better gains than eating 1200 calories above maintenance of crap.
 
eat less food per meal and eat one more meal every day
that can maintain your grow and don't be fat
 
I counted calories when I needed it in past.
Now I'm eating according to the regime.
 
If i.am.watching my carbs very closely and eating them mainly post workout I have found I can eat as many calories as I want and stay lean while.on gear.
