I bought one of these for my home gym...https://www.newyorkbarbells.com/79101.htmlMy garage doesn’t have a machine overhead press…..
No I meant bands as in a band only movement. You can add a band to these even. Stand on the band and have it over the top plate. Takes a little adjusting but definitely works
This movement is even better doing high reps.
Ya I get that. I just ment if you wanted to reduce the amount of weight for the exercise adding a band works toNo I meant bands as in a band only movement.
Like side laterals w one end of the band affixed at ground level

Yea man it’s a Mission to find one open so I just move on to do something else because I don’t want to wait and loose the pump I have goingSmith machines are hard to come by. My gym is the same, I have to do my workout in the order of which workout stations open up. Its never the same.
I switched over to the hammer strength shoulder press with decent results but I dont feel the same engagement in the shoulder that I do with lateral raises and face pulls.
Hawkmoon suggested something similar to what you are saying so if I can get a smith machine and the bench I'll put them back in the rotation.
Ah ok
It’s not so much the weight that had me abandon OH presses. Combo of the amount of warmup to get going, the joint soreness for days after, and seemingly no extra payoff for me in terms of hypertrophy vs lighter isolated movements.
Yes that shit is painful lolYou want some cheese with that wine Mr![]()
Lemme get a copy of that proprietary warm up routine bro stop holding out on meLol ya bro.. I start warming up the minute I roll out of bed. Then usually training at night

Oh ok I’m right on track then. Plus a slew of curse words when I get out of bed. I find that helps mobilityI get up moan and grunt in pain. Do that for the next 6 to 8 hrs. Then I'm usually go to go lol
