My friend went to the doc Monday and they did blood work right on the spot, he wasn't fasted in fact he had BBQ and ice cream the night before and breakfast that morning....even got silly drunk Saturday night. Of course his lipids, glucose and ALT/AST numbers came back all crazy, his doc said the fasting didn't matter for the results which I had never heard before.
I'm not completely discounting the numbers on the blood work but how much does it really matter that he was pretty much the complete opposite of fasted?
