My first 2 shows I actually lost weight the day after or stayed stagnant. This year, by that monday I put on 25-30 lbs and had extreme headache, backache and couldnt open my eyes very well. I remember doing seated legs curls that monday with my eyes shut through the workout. However, by Thursday I was down 10-15lbs and back on track for the next show and actually came in leaner from the shock to my system. Basically just slowly re-introduce fluids, it is mostly a water issue and I knew that the first 2 shows, but I just couldnt resist pounding the diet pepsi's and gatorades all night this time around, much more satisfying than any food.
