how to find liberal doctor, doc in maryland?

Im 26 and have low test levels due to fooling around with AAS when i was younger. I finally decided to look into HRT since i have severe ED and other problems that sound like low test. I have my test results back from my regular doctor (low LH, test, free test), but when I met with a urologist he seemed to be against trt without me even mentionining it. He kept saying how that will make me not fertile. He never even asked if i had kids or wanted them, just overall I did not like him.

He took another blood test because I guess he didnt believe the one from patient first but I would rather not go back to that doc and find a doctor who would be more open to treating a younger guy with low test.

After the first doc was texting while I was telling him my problems i pretty much decided I wouldnt go back to him and expressed my displeasure with the manager who apologized for him blowing me off and doing 'research on his phone' during my vist. Research on his phone? LOL.

Anyway, does anyone know of any good docs in maryland or a way I could find a good local doc who will take me seriously?

I have tried google and searching boards, but only was able to find a doctor that specializes in fertility and im not interested in being fertile but treating my low test. I called her office and they would not take me because i am not interested in fertility but in just getting my levels in range.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Well, you don't have to go to a specialist to get on hormone therapy.

You have two options, one is the honest way, another is a bit less honest, but both should get you what you want.

Honest way,
Find a general doctor and get your blood tested. Tell them you have done your research on Testim and or Androgel, and that is the way to boost your testosterone back to normal level. Most family doctors or internal medicine doctors will not have trouble doing this. I would go with the internal medicine because they are suppose to treat complex problems.

The other way,
One thing I have noticed is that doctors that are continuing care from another doctor have no clue what medications you are on. Basically find a new internal medicine doctor and tell them you have been on Testosterone Hormone Therapy, take your low blood results. Tell them you have been overseas or some other BS..they have no way to verify it. If you know your dosage and stuff, they basically believe you.

TRT in the US is basically Testim or Androgel rubbing gels. You can get shots, but that is way too much going to the doctor's office.

Bro,
Know that most of us know what low testosterone feels during the post cycle...so I would also look at what else is used during post cycle..

And another treatment is Proviron, we take proviron during the post cycle to keep the libido up...and like TankAbbot said, there are a lot of trustworthy sponsors you can get your own supply from..

There are tons of places in the states where you do not have to set foot. I know a friend whos father is on HRT. He gets blood work done locally then they send it to the doctor on florida who prescribes him Test, GH, HCG, arimidex etc. Expensive yes, legal yes, worth it? Its up to you...

thanks for all the replys, i will PM some of your guys would def like to do it locally with a doctor i can actually talk with.

i got back my test results today. the first ones from patient first, test level 190,,,and low LH.

this new uro (the one i didnt like) wanted morning tests. well they came back with a total test of 90. granted i did not get much sleep the night before, but i still think that is quite low.

he called me and i spoke to him, he thinks i have a tumor on my pituatary gland and wants me to get an MRI.

Anyone think there is a chance this is what I have? Who knows, i told him I want to do some research and I will call him back. I dont want a MRI for nothing just because this guy doesn't understand hormones.

Go through the motions, get all the necessary tests done, what can it hurt? And in the end hopefully everything checks out then you just need to remind the doc that low test levels are very dangerous and you do not feel comfortable NOT doing anything about it. Good luck
