When it comes to libido, there is a huge area to examine to determine what treatments are necessary to improve libido. Generally, Dopaminergic or Dopamine signaling is the first response with libido, over stimulation of dopamine signaling will cause lack of libido. In this sport, over stimulation of dopaminergic signaling is common place.
Excessive nervous system norepinephrine signaling, in which may be a compensation for low thyroid function, low cortisol secretion, ect. The loss of Dopaminergic signaling may be addressed separately but it may not be sufficient to do so since excessive NE will outweigh dopamine.
Again, addressing lack of libido, I believe one needs to address the causes of over stimulation of dopaminergic signaling and reduce or eliminate the cause(s). And reduce excessive NE. Whether it be Supraphysiological doses of AAS, Stimulants, Excessive masterbation, insufficient hormone modulation above or below one's natural set point, nutritional deficiencies, stress ect, ect.
