How to lower blood pressure and RHR?

Without coming off gear or doing a cruise, how can I lower my blood pressure and pulse? Not coming off or going to a cruise don’t waste your time advising it.

I already take 80mg Telmisartan and 10mg of Nebivolol every day. Is the answer to just take then even more of both?

Blood pressure and pulse are not looking good. 145/90 and HR is regularly 100BPM.

I haven’t been doing cardio but I am open to starting it up again. Sleep is OK but not great. I have a sleep study scheduled in February.

Competed in October, am now in an off-season phase and pushing up bodyweight. Think I may have slight edema but not sure.

Advice here?

how is your activitity level?
tracking steps?
for me, 10,000+ steps a day was a gamechanger in vitals
Very sedentary since the winter. I’ll keep this in mind. Thank you

How much do you weigh?

Any stimulants? Any alcohol?

No cardio
Potentially gained to much weight to fast
Drugs
Potentially poor diet

You’re post contest, still on cycle, reduced output and pushing food up (maybe to much) your body may just need a break

If you’re having health issues my suggestion would be atleast consider lowering drugs not suggesting to add more

To late to edit

However if you are insistent on adding things to try and counteract the problem.

I’d look at natural supplementation for BP

For RHR Nebivolol may not do anything for you (it didn’t for me) I asked the tropoiniq app and it said

My experience with clients in similar situations is that this is where Cardarine becomes really valuable. Most guys see their RHR drop 10-15 beats within 2-3 weeks of adding 10-20mg daily. The improved cardiac efficiency from Cardarine often does what additional cardio volume can't accomplish

I have no idea never used it nor have I heard anyone else mention it but may be viable

Just get cardio in, everyday. Look at your sodium and potassium intake. Cut the cheatmeals. Even lower some food For a while. Keep the diet clean and consider hiit cardio For rhr. Steps at 10k a day is also a great tool. But my advise would be to take all these things into consideration. I think the rhr and high bloodpressure will drop within weeks.

Move more.

Cardio 15 mins before and 15 mins after weights, up hill walking, bike or elliptical HR 135-140 min.

Fuck it, if you can run, do that. It's hard, but you need to get your HR up. Try walking up hill for 5 mins, run for 5 mins, repeat.

Walk around the gym between sets, I can do 4000-8000 steps depending on how long the session is.

Something that helped me, Stan efferdings 3x10mins a day, everyday after the big meals i take a 10min walk in a brisk pace, that helped med alot.

(Not a jab) You sound like you need cardiac testing and comprehensive labs as you are close to maxed out on meds. Sure you could add Ivabradine for RHR, a diuretic for BP and the edema. However you won’t be doing yourself any favors and masking damage taking place.

You said you didn’t want to “come off”. So I’ll suggest this- change compounds and dosages. Start doing 10-15k steps per day, cardio 30 min 5 days week and lose excess body fat.

We had a former member here (may he RIP) who was in the same spot with the same attitude and it didn’t end well for him.

Did you ever think of just coming off gear to deal with your health? Don’t really think a little bit of muscle is worth dying for? 100bpm rhr, your already fairly high doses of the drugs that might have helped minimally but more likely not, are you a professional bodybuilder that depends on muscle to feed his family or have a real chance of being a pro, or are you just a regular guy who just wants to look good? Do you have a family or kids? Just like LUKI stated, you already know what you need to do. I don’t know you and I’m not judging you but you don’t sound like you’re thinking about this with a clear unbiased intelligent thought process. This shit straight up kills tons of humans stone cold dead everyday all over earth that have newer even abused drugs or steroids and live healthier lives than you or I.

I’m with BBXTREME on this...you need actual testing. And I get what you were aiming for in your post: “help me fix this, but don’t tell me to lower gear.” That is exactly how guys end up in trouble, because it avoids the one thing that would actually help.

On 80mg Telmisartan and 10mg Nebivolol, you shouldn’t be sitting at 145/90 with a resting heart rate near 100. That’s not a minor adjustment issue. That’s your body waving the flag that you’re carrying too much load...food, drugs, stress, probably all three.

You pushed up weight fast after your show, no cardio. Add in water retention and the BP/HR makes sense. The edema comment is what concerns me most, because that can be totally benign… or not. Without labs, no one here can tell you which.

Here’s the simple, real answer:
  1. Get labs and a real checkup
  2. Lower the doses. Not to TRT unless you want to but you don’t need 2g+ when your vitals look like this.
  3. Start cardio and walking daily. Steps + 30 minutes on a bike will make a bigger difference than you think.
  4. Tighten the diet and slow the bulk. You rebounded too fast.
This is the point where guys either course correct and stay healthy for decades… or they don’t. You won’t lose all your size by pulling back, but you will lose control if you ignore this.

There’s no magic fix my man, just the fix you didn’t want to hear. But it’s the right one...

As said, you should go to a cardiologist at this point. Thats home heavy duty medication that is having virtually no effect on your symptoms.

Come off and/or lower your AAS/HGH doses.

If you cannot use meds to lower your BP and RHR and today are saying you dont want to lower doses/cruise - how do you think this story ends?

Not to sound redundant, but I must echo what others have previously stated. If your BP and HR can’t be controlled on those doses, then something internally is wrong. Unless you’re using grams of gear, high tren/high test with no AI, it shouldn’t be that high.

If you’re doing any cardio and eating remotely like a bodybuilder, those BP drugs should work. Resistant BP indicates something internally is off. I would speculate this is due to high blood viscosity, skewed to hell lipids, and other factors. I know you probably won’t care what others say, but if you do, get the hell off these drugs at the high dosages you seem to be doing, man. I had untreated high BP for years, severe LVH before 30 like an imbecile.

That was my wake-up call. Fix yourself

Taking more telmisartan isn't going to do anything, you're already at the ceiling at what it can do at 80mg. I would add a diuretic, hctz or chlorthalidone, check bp after 1 month, if still high add a CCP like amlodipine or cilnidipine. If your bp is still high on 80mg telmisartan, 25mg hctz, 10mg nebivolol, 10mg amlodipine, i'd get serious about seeing a cardiologist

For me, tren and high gh make it very hard to control bp and RHR
