I haven't read all the replies in here. You mention a sleep study coming up. I don't know how big you are but probably about every guy on here of any size has Sleep Apnea. When I got on my Cpap it made no difference in my blood pressure. I still take the same meds and dosages I always have. BUT I know lots of people who once they got on a Cpap were either able to come off blood pressure meds or lower them. DO NOT SKIP THAT SLEEP STUDY. Getting on a Cpap made a big difference in my sleep quality and quality of life.Without coming off gear or doing a cruise, how can I lower my blood pressure and pulse? Not coming off or going to a cruise don’t waste your time advising it.
I already take 80mg Telmisartan and 10mg of Nebivolol every day. Is the answer to just take then even more of both?
Blood pressure and pulse are not looking good. 145/90 and HR is regularly 100BPM.
I haven’t been doing cardio but I am open to starting it up again. Sleep is OK but not great. I have a sleep study scheduled in February.
Competed in October, am now in an off-season phase and pushing up bodyweight. Think I may have slight edema but not sure.
Advice here?
Cardio will make a big difference. I know many have mentioned it here. When I'm doing cardio 5 times a week my RHR will be in the 60's. When I'm not doing it or being inconsistent its in the 80's. Take from that what you will. Plus you will be surprised what dropping just 10 or 15 lbs will do. Now if you're really lean that may not be feasible. But if you're a little heavier it can really help. Health first and foremost man. I've never seen a "good looking corpse" in my life. Take care of your health man. You've only got one body. Treat it the way God intended, like a Temple.
