That was great... thanks for posting. Although if I do those assisted sets with Barbie in the gym people will think some sort of sexual act is going on :eek::D
 
Tom's not completely accurate about Vince not believing in squatting.

Vince just didn't recommend the movement for clients who were predisposed to easy glute development or those with relatively wide hips.

And Gironda's sissy squats are ridiculous. I've never felt so much pain in my knees than when I was doing sissies on a regular, and I use to run in combat boots in the Marines. Stupid stupid exercise.

Especially if you are grunting like that LOL I trained a couple of girls on legs one day and some guy came up to me and was like what are you doing to these women I hear them moaning across the gym haha
 
He was awesome. I bet he still has big legs.

Haha! I'm going to try that variation on hacks, but I think I'll pass on those assisted leg extensions too.

Thanks for clarifying, I always thought he was anti-squats - period.

I began my leg training by doing leg presses, leg curls & leg ext. My hips and glutes BLEW UP, always had mediocre quads. Guess Gironda wouldnt've had me squat.
 
Good video. If there was shag carpet in there I would think its the intro to a 70's porno. Lots of grunting and "harder" going on.

He most likely would have had you do hacks, fronts, sissy squats, etc. like he did everyone else he ever trained. He reserved regular back squats for guys that lacked glute development in relation to their thighs.
 
Great video! Tom is bless with those knees, if I bounce from the hole doing squats like he does probably my knees would split in half.
 
What I would do to have knees that allowed for that kind of squatting and hacks. Hell if I did those hack squats my knees would explode and leave remnants across the gym.:banghead:
 
Tom is known for pushing past the pain barrier on his legs and they explode. His wife is very nice lady, she sometimes say hello to me. Tom is a very nice guy. Best legs in history ever!
