I think Shelby will be a superheavy by 2011. It's like watching a little kid have a growth spurt...

How do you like the underhand grip versus the overhand grip? I feel like my biceps do too much of the work, even when I try concentrating on my lats. The stretch also freaks me out.

Are you DC training right now?
 
great pics and videos bro. with the thumbless grip are you able to use the same weight that you use w/ a regular grip? and for your negatives are you counting in your head, or just controlling the weight without a set count?

I like the underhand grip a lot - I get a better contraction with it. I use wrist hooks rather than straps in both the exercises I posted - this helps me take the arms out of the movement almost completely. With straps you still have to grip the bar.. with the hooks you can pretty much let go which helps me concentrate on making my back do the work, rather than my biceps or forearms.

Yes I'm using the DC 2-way split now. Will probably go back to the 3-way when I start dieting in a couple months.

I count to 4 in my head on the pulldown negatives. On the rows I just try to control it, maybe more like a 3 count.
See above post for explanation of the thumbless grip. I think the weight is about the same.

Great back thickness shelby. Especiall in your middle back as well as your traps.:eek:
 
To be honest my form is usually a bit tighter than this. I jumped up over 10% from the last time I did this exercise, which I rarely do. I usually try to keep the increases around 5%.
